Woke up this morning and decided to do a horse anatomy study. The concept was to take a photo, and then trace over the basic shapes, and then recreate it without reference. My goal was to find a work flow where I don't have to rely on references. Of course, I had to make them all into centaurs XD

I think that when artists wish for old DA, it's actually wishing for things to go back to before socials. IDK if people remember, but in DA heyday, artists weren't all sold on the idea of monetizing everything. People joined DA because they wanted a fun & friendly community of other artists first -

shout out to all the artists trying to pay the bills and grappling with that feeling of desperation and uncertainty while trying to maintain creative fluency and a hopeful outlook that maybe “today will be the day things get a tiny bit easier”

And another double time portrait (6h+) ready to show the world, this time for the lovely @footpad.bsky.social of a gorgeous classic wolf design! Still so tickled with how this came out. Apparently I’ve been getting really into dramatic backlighting and golden hour light lately.

Dude I’m so TIRED of constantly rebuilding my following and posting the same thing to 4 different sites because you never know when one might do something dumb and tank. I just want to be an artist. I’m exhausted.
