Over the past couple of years I can't shake this feeling that I am missing something fundamental when it comes to making games. The difference between something shallow and something deep. Something meaningful vs an egotistical tower of babel or a cheap imitation. Or maybe it's just my imagination.

#portfolioday Hey. Despite everything, it's still Alessandro - an italian guy trying to make a living out of #pixelart. I used to work in the movie art department, but that was just a phase, MOM! I also have game asset packs (tilesets & characters mainly) for sale on my Itch and Patreon pages.

Drew some of the charactets to get a better idea of what they look like. I'm thinking of Rincewind as a guy in his late 30s, still a kid by wizard standards, but with a middling beard. For Twoflower, I kept thinking of a Mr. Magoo type character or that owl Mr. Sambal from Greenblatt's Chowder.

As an exhibitor, it was kinda meh, but as a person I got to see and talk with a lot of people who I like, so that was nice. The weather stayed pleasant all weekend and the people I worked the booth with were both great.
