And yet heavily armed and masked fascists murdered two people at point-blank range in the streets of Minneapolis—and not a peep about the “tone” of the right.

We’ve become way too inured to the constant violence because of all of the people in power who revel in it. What a joyless, artless, sexless, rudderless country we became so fast.

I still don’t get how the major reporting doesn’t frame this as obvious. It’s as if the administration just randomly shut off all traffic lights, in the absence of a plausible reason I think we could assume the goal is pain and chaos.
