I know a lot of people have spoken about their cartoon crushes when they were kids, etc. I, however, don’t remember my cartoon crushes from my childhood, because I would repress those feelings back then in response to being picked on by my siblings when we were kids.

That’s why I don’t remember my cartoon crushes, because my siblings would tease me over the sight of a boy and a girl kissing or getting close to kissing on tv, or even whenever a pretty girl appeared onscreen. Of course, back then, my siblings didn’t know better.

I couldn’t express my crushes as a kid else I risked being teased, which I took seriously back then, so I hardened myself and suppressed those emotions, and refused to let myself experience any kind of crush, love, infatuation, or any other similar feeling, because that would mean it was not manly.
