It's slightly odd how so many actors/directors go to great extremes to achieve 'authenticity' but that doesn't extend to being even slightly fat or ugly.

Arriving just before the US midterms, when Trump is at his weakest

"[Trump] said in a press conference on January 3 that Machado had “no support” inside the country...Machado remains the country’s most popular politician, with a September survey finding that she would win 61.2% of the vote against Rodríguez’s 3.1% in an election" www.ft.com/content/f691...

Dec, Reece, Connor, Jordan, two Jacks and Bosh. Stag weekend in Bayeux. Already barred from the mead hall.

So many young lads with haircuts like the Normans in the Bayeux tapestry. Thankfully a bit les aggressive.

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps: -It’s ‘sleight of hand’ -It’s ‘bated breath’ -It’s ‘lo and behold’ -It's 'buck naked' -It’s ‘brass tacks’ -It’s ‘free rein’ -It’s ‘toe the line'

I posted earlier today about Iain Stamp, a conman who was sentenced to 12 months jail and fled to Northern Cyprus. He's suing me in a Wyoming court for $795m (!), and told the court he lives in the UK. I just used the stupidest trick ever to find out where he really is.

Sorry, but everything, everything was shit BITD. Nothing worked & when it did it was underwhelming

God everything... cars that don't rust & break down, central heating, luxurious showers, amazing cuisine, great coffee, things to do a Sunday, the end of deference, the freedom to be an individual, low crime, better architecture, more cultural events, unlimited access to literature, music, ideas

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

My grandad had his tongue shot off in the war. He found it hard to talk about

I wasn't particularly close to my dad before he died - which was lucky, because he trod on a land mine.

We had some ale drinkers in from West Yorkshire and they left behind a copy of CAMRA's magazine for the Bradford area. In it there's an article about a pub crawl that finishes in Dewsbury and I just wasn't prepared for the final sentence

I know this has got "and the whole bus cheered in Welsh" vibes, but it's true. I recently went on a sailing trip off Scotland. There was a small group of elderly American (Republican) passengers. After we boarded, one of them pulled me to one side & said: "we're not MAGA"

always nice to meet American tourists who have not previously encountered other humans, standing in an inconvenient place at a major London railway station with no hint of awareness they might be in anybody's way

Really surprised about the number of people on here who say the UK is an unliveable shithole & not worth making sacrifices for.

BREAKING: The head of the army says the UK's political leaders are about to start a "frank conversation" with the public about the need to prepare for war, per Sky News. General Sir Roly Walker said every citizen will be asked to make sacrifices and to play their part in the defence of the nation.

He's actually become kind of boring

(1/2) New Mexico should immediately change its name to New America. We are not Mexico, we are the United States of America! The name would add great value and prestige to the State! Home Values and Incomes would rise, and you would be even prouder while saluting our beautiful
