Habe literally erst Dienstag mit einem Kollegen, der viel zu Exekutivhandeln im Dritten Reich forscht, drüber gesprochen. Wir waren beide entsetzt von der Sprache, die sich in Akten z.B. zu Erschießungen findet und waren uns einig, dass man in unserem Job Möglichkeiten zur Distanzierung finden muss.

St Patricks Graveyard • Mayo Not far from Kilmovee in the east of Mayo near the Roscommon border you can find the remains of a medieval church, set within a historic graveyard that has been in use for centuries. I always find it to be an atmospheric place, where you can feel a deep well of time.

If you ask for black coffee and the cashier asks if you want cream or sugar I promise it's not because the cashier thinks you're stupid or because the cashier is stupid. It's because the cashier regularly has to deal with people who ask for "black coffee" and then complain there's no cream or sugar

I once took off from Heathrow toward Glasgow (Edinburgh? Anyway, North) on a clear night and the plane did a gorgeous round over the city lights. Piccadilly, the Eye... not gonna lie, it was a little magical. I know flying is bad for the planet. Do it rarely, experience it as the wonder it is 🤩

i am on a plane sitting next to a lady who looks 40ish and has informed me that this is her first time flying she is visibly excited. she asked the flight attendant how much a soda costs and was happy to learn that drinks are free on airplanes. she's taking lots of pictures. i love this for her
