I took the blog down because of the php vulnerability shenanigans. I should put it back online later today, once I make sure everything is updated on the webhosting side

Hmm.. the fomo has died seeing that there are more demos than ever before and no way to filter genAI stuff. Curating games from these things used to be fun, low stakes treasure hunt where you couldn’t go wrong, now seems more like a marathon with leaf covered spike pits along the route 😅

Spooktober update!! I'm choosing Gloomy Eyes as game number 5 and the last addition to the play-along. I've purchased it last week with the Cozy After Dark showcase bundle and I'm excited to play it. It's a mystery puzzle game and I love the Tim Burton vibes. www.humblebundle.com/games/cozy-a...

Finished This Bed We Made for Spooktober. 10/10 game!!! 😩👌 Even though I included it in the play-along, it’s not really spooky… I guess? It’s a mystery game with some unsettling elements, though, so it might be worth checking out the trigger warnings (beware of potential spoilers) before playing

Happy LudoNarraCon 2026! I've picked eight of my favourite and standout games featured in this year's event, and it was a tough call on some of these. Needless to say, there are some amazing games being showcased this year. #LudoNarraCon

Okay, I have lost all patience. These AI emails from small developers and studios are atrocious. It's bad enough that I constantly get emails from PR shooting from the hip, but this is next-level stupidity. Working on a game for years to throw it all away because of what? Laziness?

One day after Burn With Me launch! 3333 copies sold, 90+ reviews, 95% positive 🎉 Thank you all so much! So insane to see such a response to our little game 🧡

This article hits hard on a very personal level, since this is something I struggle with A LOT. To a degree, it's my own fault for caving to perceived demands on my time and presence. If I'm around, I have no excuse to not be doing something...says my incorrect brain.

Videogame Beaches🏳️‍⚧️@videogamebeach.bsky.social

Lately I've been seeing a lot of depressing posts about how people discard their own experiences in favor of efficiency and utility, and for some reason I needed to launch into a disjointed and pedantic rant about why useless is good.

I wish every game with a map had those pins you can add to remember where to come back to (metroidvania or not)

Sem falar nas carrancas que tem nessa área. Minha mãe tinha algumas em casa quando eu era criança e eu tinha muito medo. Já me deu um susto quando vi no jogo haha

Real talk, why half of the remaining games media is in Japan this week but no one can ever find a Japanese dev, consultant, journo or researcher to talk about Japan? Especially when we then get these experts who ignore the well-know fact that Japan has laws which make firing people extremely hard.

Eurogamer@eurogamer.bsky.social

Why do Japanese studios suffer fewer layoffs? Because they have smaller teams and don't pay their execs $30m, says one expert. https://bit.ly/4rfqTRG
