Just a reminder that this is the guy whose loss triggered panic in the global financial markets. Not just an ecocidal fascist who wanted to burn down the Amazon, but a snivelling little gangster. Just in case we were still labouring under the delusion that this was a good system.

Flávio Bolsonaro may have fled the country to get away from federal police but if that's the case he may also be trying to get away from all his criminal allies who now no doubt are realizing that he 1. failed to deliver, 2. is a huge coward, 3. sure knows a lot of shit

Cargo thieves are infiltrating email accounts to find lucrative shipments, misdirecting shipments, disrupting GPS tracking, and using AI to create fake driver’s licenses to get accomplices hired as delivery drivers. They are even taking out the hired muscle en route. arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...

I think we underestimate the appeal of antigambling politics because every problem gambler is surrounded by 3-10 people who are absolutely sick of their shit.

She's not just "a congresswoman", she's the co-author of the biggest brazilian worker rights bill of the decade, if not of the century (it eliminates the possibility of having job positions with 6 work days per week)

Always fun when the AI evangelizers become VERY concerned with the plight of the disabled, a concern that no doubt manifests elsewhere in their day to day lives.

If this is how you see the world, you are a pathetic, cowardly waste of a soul, undeserving of the vibrance of spring flowers, or the orange purples of clouds set ablaze by a sunset, or the smell of smoke from distant fireplaces carried by a biting autumn gust, or the great taste of Charleston Chew™

Eyyyyy who could have guessed! Why is this you may ask? Because the people engineering the legislature and services involved are often the ones violating the children's safety in the first place! These safety acts are obfuscation, not protection!

Ofcom published a report today that pretty much declares the Online Safety Act a complete failure

did it protect children (no, never the intent) did it censor LGBTQ+ content from everyone, force adults to hand over their identity to companies with notorious security and privacy flaws, and further make life difficult for sex workers (yes, all working as intended)

Failure for whom though? Meta got millions of personal ID documents and trained its clankers on people's faces. Which despite Sir Keir's either credulousness or complicity, was the goal.

Not a failure, did exactly what it was built to do. The "protect kids" was a the same false flag bullshit the right always use to force us to choke on their shit.

Wow, who could've guessed. It's almost like everyone shouting loudly about how idiotic it was might've been onto something. Of course I half expect the government to look at this report and consider requiring government approval for websites to be accessible in the UK at this point.
