Trying to recreate some mix tapes from back in the day for me to listen to on chemo days, and this one is so good. @bubbaprog.xyz is focused on the outro, but I’m more concerned about finding the Tokidoki songs.

@ncrabbithole.com ok I got a new rabbit hole for you to go down, find me the recording of the CMS lunch menu hotline from (probably) 1996 or 1997, I am told it is not especially noteworthy WHICH one, as it was a random one that ended up as filler on this mixtape (which we do not possess)

The first date I ever took @lynnhurtak.com on was to a Devil Rays game on Stitch & Pitch night. Tucked the bag away & opened it for the first time in 19 years this morning

the rays stadium deal is so unpopular that everyone from DSA members to (today,) January 6-ers stop lynn on the street to thank her for leading the charge against it. the neighbor today: "if those woke idiots in St. Pete didn't want it why should we?"

This is beyond adorable. I still can't believe my two favorite singer/songwriters are not only friends, but played in bands together!

To be clear, City Council did not even see this "agreement" until almost 12 hours AFTER the paper somehow managed to report on its existence. I remain extremely concerned about the amount of secrecy and misdirection involved in this proposal. www.tampabay.com/sports/rays/...

Incredible. When E—n M—k & his crew obliterated USAID in a weekend, they deleted a vast trove of publicly-funded knowledge: the Development Experience Clearinghouse. A Canadian high school student (!) happened to have downloaded the entire thing for a project. AidData has now posted it for all.

Super excited to join the emergency bike ride tonight! Looking forward to talking about parks & mobility funding in Minneapolis and riding more awesome bike infrastructure.

Next week we ride with the Tampa City Council's Lynn Hurtak.

Lynn Hurtak@lynnhurtak.com

Are you doing one next week? We'll be in town June 26-July 2 before the annual family reunion up north and we have bikes the whole time!

Heading to Minneapolis again with @bubbaprog.xyz June 26-July 2 & have bikes the whole time. Thinking about seeing a different part of the city each day. Love community gardens, quirky art, coffee, dive bars, cheap eats, new bike infrastructure. Pride is #1 on our list! What else can't we miss?

Would also love to grab a drink/coffee/bite/bike ride with folks passionate about transit, housing, and/or good government to learn from each other!

I've stood up for the LGBTQ+ community as a city council member, and I will continue to do so as Tampa's next mayor. Every Tampeño has a right to live with dignity—and I'll enact actual policy to protect that right from threats in Tallahassee, Washington, or anywhere else.

Ten years ago, 49 community members lost their lives at Pulse nightclub. They were not the first victims of violent bigotry, but together in solidarity we can mourn our loved ones and renew our commitment to building a future where every neighbor can live in safety and with humanity.

In 2012, my husband & I got married in New York City—because marriage equality hadn't yet come to Florida and it didn't feel right to get married in a state that denied our friends that same right.

Tomorrow I’m bringing Lynn Listens to the streets! Join me for a bike ride starting at the Curtis Hixon fountains. We’ll wind through the city talking about whatever’s on your minds before stopping at Bamboozle Heights for food & fellowship. If you want to skip the ride, just join us there at 9:30.

If you missed my statements on the Rays MOU yesterday, here they are. Bottom line, we promised no CIT dollars for stadiums. Only voters should decide if that changes.

anyway, love @lynnhurtak.com, she did the digging to find all this stuff out and I believe in the end her colleagues will either agree with her or make themselves look like asses to support it (1 of 2)

No matter how tonight’s game turns out, I wish good luck to anyone there who is attending their first hockey game. My first game was a Game 7 vs Detroit in 2015, & nothing can match the energy of a Game 7.

I've been sick for 5(!) weeks, but the weather is too nice to keep everyone home. This Sunday, ESMR regular Kory has generously offered to lead the ride. Come on out to support him & enjoy a gorgeous day!

My parents named me after a song on Jimmy Buffett’s 1976 “Havana Daydreamin’” album. The song: “There’s Something So Feminine About a Mandolin” My name: Amanda Lynn A Florida Woman from birth. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Serious question: Are ice cream shops seasonal even in big cities up north? I'm fascinated by the idea that you can't get DQ in the winter! Also, how can businesses afford to close for 5 months a year?

I've been working on getting council to really dive into the budget for several years. Tomorrow night at city hall we are holding our first-ever pre-budget discussion & public hearing. Let us know what you want!

i never had a chance to write about the design of @lynnhurtak.com's last election branding—I had the blog post half finished when all my computers got taken away—so I'm gonna talk about the new one now, because a lot of thought and energy went into it!

For our first date, @bubbaprog.xyz came up to Gainesville from Tampa, and I took him to Satchel's as a thank you for helping me write my grandmother's eulogy. We'd met at a Fark party at the Howard Johnson's at 50th and Columbus in Tampa a week prior.

This is an unapologetically sappy feel-good subject (at least, I guess, for people in a happy relationship”). So, to prepare for Valentine’s Day, what did you and your partner do for a first date? My wife and I went to tea at Huntington Gardens and walked around.

🚨THE OLA AVE BIKEWAY LIGHTS ARE WORKING!🚨 The light at Ola & MLK and lighted crosswalks at Highland & Sligh and Ola and Columbus are finally working! SAVE THE DATE for a ribbon cutting for the Ola/MLK light during the Feb 8th Easy Sunday Morning Ride. We’ll cut the ribbon at 10am.

I just had new headshots done for council, and the one on the right is so very ME, but the one on the left will be the official portrait. Bah humbug!

I will never forgive Swiss Sliding for making Timo change his IBSF athlete page picture. The first picture is what it was before, the second is the standardized one that they made him switch it to. Seriously, everyone's headshot should be something like what he had.
