@literaryhub.bsky.social Fuck off with this nonsense. People do what they want to do. They don't do what they don't want to do. People have moral agency. Fascist racists are fascist racists because they want to be, not because anyone "made them" or because democracy was drunk.

The majority of white voters adopting a mass school shooter mindset in response to living under a Black president and potentially living under a woman president is what paved the way for fascism, but go off blaming anything for fascism except the fascist voters themselves.
Why the road to American fascism was paved by Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.

We don’t know if the early vote will be predictive because all Republicans could just be waiting to vote until Election Day. But what this means in practice is that to win, Trump/GOP will have to have the most successful EDay mobilization operation in modern history— and that it’s completely stealth
As far as our data can tell this is pretty much unambiguously good news for Democrats. Young voters strongly favor the Dems this cycle, including young men allianceforyouthpower.org/wp-content/u...

It’s a subject that makes a lot of people uncomfortable and calling them corrupt and evil is easier. But the truth is that Republicans have a rape problem—one that they celebrate.
Extraordinary. I can't believe your story may be the first time the Republican's acceptance of the rape and abuse of woman and children has been spoken of in such clear terms... considering how goddamn long it's been going on.
This is good reporting but as always with NYT they adamantly refuse to connect any dots. The evidence that Trump is a Russian asset is overwhelming but they will never, ever even do so much as to hint at it. It’s all just a bunch of standalone stories to them.
Overall, we are seeing some very odd deal talks that are supposedly a part of ending the war in Ukraine. But in fact evidence shows these deals are structured (in the most recent case secretly until now) to financially benefit Russia or business partners of the Trump and Witkoff families.

Trump's art of the Russian deal. Putin gets massive sanctions relief. Ukraine gets its defenses crippled. And the United States gets less than one day's worth of diesel and no meaningful relief at the pump. www.nbcnews.com/business/ene...

The Executive Branch has no authority to regulate states’ election decisions as to candidate qualifications, and the choice to file a lawsuit like this just days before an election speaks volumes about the political corruption festering at the top levels of the DOJ.
NEWS — The Trump administration sued Alaska over Dan J. Sullivan’s Senate candidacy, arguing voter confusion could affect the race between Sen. Dan S. Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola, per Courthouse News.

I did not know this. Holy crap.
FWIW, most MAGA people probably believe Amy Acton’s stepfather raped her. But they think being a rape victim Is disqualifying. I get this from my family. They believe I was raped in college. They just use that as their reason to call me crazy and say my judgment is untrustworthy.

To the cable news producers and hosts who follow me here: Find time to book Whitney on your show. No need to mention me or my podcast. But she deserves to be heard. And Texas voters need to be reminded of what Gregg Abbott did.
Today we launch the first episode of my podcast. I interviewed Whitney Mitchell, whose fiancé and caretaker Garrett Foster was murdered at a BLM protest in 2020. Foster's killer was convicted by a jury and given a 25-year sentence. Then Texas Gov. Greg Abbott pardoned him.

My brain cannot process this level of corruption. She was being paid $50 million to engineer a pardon from Trump *while working at the Justice Department* as a "Special Government Employee." And it worked. He got the pardon, and she got the money. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/20/u...
