A whole house in Florida and no one went to even look into the man’s face for how long exactly?

NBC News@nbcnews.com

A Florida man was found dead in his home during a welfare check in July 2022. Weeks later, one of the officers who discovered his body moved into the home and spent years impersonating him, according to investigators.

I got a message this morning. Someone bought "But Then She Came Back", played it, and said it made them realize they were being abused and leave that relationship. I am profoundly moved that something I made helped someone in that way. Been sobbing since I got the message.

You know, the thing is, I had drafted this piece a month ago, and then never published it, because I thought maybe it was too mean.

Wells Fargo has been my primary checking account since college and they’ve ABSOLUTELY NEVER offered me a mortgage on *any* terms and I’m in *software development*. I don’t know which of these racists to be madder at.

Just found out: 1. My house came with one of those fake plastic rocks you can hide stuff in. 2. It’s a big one. 3. Big enough to contain a beehive. 4. It in fact, does contain bees. 5. They were happier when that was a secret only they knew.

There is no such thing as art without a human on one end of the line and a human on the other end. In communication with each other.

I’m a bit baffled by the decisions here. Mattel owns Hot Wheels and Barbie. The only Barbie movie tie-in game I can find was yet another UNO variant and the last Hot Wheels game was a variant of DOS (worse UNO). There’s a Matchbox movie on the way. If there’s a game coming for that I don’t see it.

So I went to Walmart (plus a couple extra stores) and did some market research. No wonder Mattel is looking for a games lead. They almost exclusively sell UNO variants with a spendy license +one extra rule and call it a day. Otherwise their games are very old and surrounded by new ideas from others.

I was already getting pretty sick of Paramount’s open avarice and associated worsening politics. (The lack of commitment to this franchise in particular fits right in line.) I can forgive misfiring on content, but if they’re this dispassionate about it I’d love to see another take elsewhere.

For Natalie I’ll make an exception: *PLEASE* use AI to write your terrible letters. Mine poor eyes had to read and mine brain… comprehend? The thoughts are all dog water, but the struggle is real. Just Bad. Bad bad bad.

“And please, when I fail, will you tell me? You have the absolute right to cuss me out, if need be, when I deserve it, because no one knows or cares about me more.” … “With all my heart, Natalie”
