It's always the silliest mistakes, isn't it? I've spent so much time trying to figure out why I wasn't able to receive frames and it turned out I forgot to pull the standby pin low. The weirdest thing was it worked perfectly at 250kbps in listen-only mode.

This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details πŸ‘‡ www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

Worrying if you don't make your electronics in mainland China. Nexperia not only produces power chips as the article mentions but a good chunk of the global supply of discrete semiconductors as well (transistors, diodes and logic ICs), which are present in every piece of electronic equipment.

No way this passed the CE safety tests lmao. All 20 lights are connected in series so that would explain the 12V-240V marking. Fastest way to fix it would be to just replace the plug with a fused UK type plug but I'd still like to power this off USB somehow.

Old Soviet joke for today: A man walks into a newsstand every day, looks around, and leaves. After a long time of this, the owner says β€œCan I help you find something?” β€œI’m looking for the obituaries.” β€œThe obituaries are in the back of the newspaper, comrade.” β€œNot the one I’m looking for.”

Whoa. That's a sprite, an elusive, high-altitude electrical discharge from a thundercloud photographed by NASA astronaut Nichole Ayers from the ISS earlier today. With reported sightings going back more than a century, this phenomenon was first photographed in 1989.

Catching up on season 2 of Andor and every time I hear the Ghorman speak in their own language it tricks me into trying to understand what they say. It sounds so much like French but doesn't have a single word in common. Is this how French sounds like for non-French speakers?

Since I have a couple of desktop computers gathering dust at home, I might as well learn a few more things about Kubernetes while setting up a multi-node cluster with them.

Kubernetes The Hard Way has been updated. I've also resolved most of the open issues and pull requests as I set the stage to add support for both ARM64 and AMD64, making the project compatible with both CPU architectures while continuing to be cloud provider agnostic. github.com/kelseyhighto...
