Luke Bryan is ruining one of my favorite subset of songs, "Songs that are just lists of things" (i.e., We Didn't Start the Fire, My Favorite Things, Don Giovanni's Catalogue Aria, 1985 by Bowling for Soup...). Turns out simply listing things is not what makes a song great after all.

Beginning to think Johnny Blue Skies/Sturgill Simpson might actually be Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077. Anti-capitalist musician named Johnny Adjective Noun, right period of time, legitimate combat training, and not to mention Sturgill's entire album about techno-future samurai stuff.

Was doing some searching about my boa - man, AI has really empowered people to be as lazy as possible. The people running this website didn't see ANY issues with the snake donuts?

Meet the isopods of Scary Terry's enclosure: (see alt text for more info!) 1. Gray Boi 2. Samurai 3. Cloud 4. The Orange Army Which is your favorite? #isopods #bioactive #snakes

El Solitario or "Terry" is rapidly earning the nickname "Scary Terry" - roughly 50 strikes at me, and although he's small, 2 or 3 have managed to break the skin! Hopefully this new hide I designed for him gives a dark corner he can feel safe in and help manage that aggression. #snakesky #snakes

This is the text of the email just sent to hundreds of international students telling them that their visas have been revoked due to activism or social media posts.

Walz: "The idea that the secretary of education would not know what IDEA is -- individuals with disability in education act -- that's like your mechanic not knowing how to put air in your tire. And she's in charge of this nation's education progress. It is catastrophic."

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell. This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

I've read most of the analyses of the DOGE 2025 "receipts" site. This, from NPR, is the best I've read so far. Some of what they claim to have cut haven't been cut, other "cuts" will incur costs down the road. NPR says DOGE has made $2B of cuts, not $55B. www.npr.org/2025/02/19/n...

I feel like I'm going insane every time I see a media story about DOGE that doesn't also mention the fact that the Government Accountability Office exists and performs the exact function that DOGE pretends to, only in a credibly constitutional, non-partisan, and conflict-of-interest-free manner

The reason companies want to put AI in everything even though we actively hate it, is the same reason they were all in on Bitcoin, and crypto, and NFTs, and quantum computing. It's because these companies can no longer make the line go up selling us products. They've maxed out on that.

So, speaking as a fully cis man who pays attention... No, supporting trans rights is NOT the reason we lost the election. Not even a little bit. But--and this is the important part... Even if that HAD been the reason we lost, IT WOULD STILL BE WRONG TO ABANDON THAT FIGHT.
