I've felt this way about the Vikings the last few years now: if the choice were between keeping KOC and losing Flores or the reverse, I would keep Flores. I like KOC, but I would rather they promote Flores given a choice between the two.

I hate all discourse on any topic but this coffee thing is bugging me because someone from NPR was shitty about it, so here is the correct answer: Coffee and water are perfectly acceptable at job interviews and shows a disdain for human dignity to feel otherwise. Everything else is verboten.

Assuming the worst 1% are suspended. How do we handle the next 5%? Our current plan is visibility restriction to their mutuals only. Does it reduce dogpiles or harassment reports? Does this balance freedom of expression with user safety.

Not only was the prior approach to encampments less maliciously cruel to the residents it also created such a long runway that when closures did happen it would avoid the "boulder in a pond" effect leading to 1200% upticks in emergency response calls as people in crisis are dramatically scattered.

The line about "30-day, 60-day solutions" is fascinating because my understanding of what was meaningfully different about the Carter approach wasn't that he never closed an encampment, instead he would give such a long runway for residents & support workers that it softened the worst effects.
