Ever had a story that _you_ knew was great, but that other people just didn't pick up on? Don't give up! Take a look at TRUNK - an anthology of stories that took time to find a home.

This beauty is now out in the world, ready and waiting for you. My story is one among many wonderful spec-fic stories in this book. Stories that "almost didn't make it." Rejection is the norm in publishing. But eventually, we all hope our stories find a good home. This book is one such good home.

Proud to be the lead story in this collection of lost children from @metaphorosis.com. Thanks to @bmorrisallen.com for his excellent editorial work on this piece. Pick up a copy of this wonderful weird anthology!

The TRUNK anthology is out today! I'm excited about this; I've got a story in here alongside a bunch of really talented authors. The theme? Stories that have gotten rejected--a lot. Rejected a dozen times, or several dozen, despite being great stories, and that's the point.

TRUNK is now available! Our latest anthology collects stories that took the long route to publication. books.metaphorosis.com/anthology/20...

Coming in August! TRUNK: stories that took the long way A collection of stories that almost didn't make it.

Welcome to August! Only one month to go until our 9th issue drops. Edits will be going out to authors soon (probably today). In the meantime, we can finally reveal the absolutely gorgeous cover, slightly revamped from our previous style, with original art by Tobias Roetsch. Ain't it beautiful?

One of my favorites of my stories is back! In Lorelei Signal now! www.loreleisignal.com/dragons-i-ha...

Worth reading the blog post and related longer-form report about the difficulties of ensuring work is not AI-generated.

On NetGalley? Ask for an ARC and review the anthology! www.netgalley.com/widget/11215...

Excited to see this… I’ve had a sneak peak at the Transformation of Tabitha Magee, “some for me” 😜

I have a story in this! "The Ways of Plants and Spells" I'll have more to say about the story later, but keep your eyes on it--lots of good stories and great writers involved!

Psyched to have a story in this forthcoming anthology from @metaphorosis.com! Available August 1.

I've got a piece in this anthology! About faith and facing uncertainty... and about pirates, retired warlords, and priestess-magi of the ocean's sunken treasures. The story's long road includes time as a Writers of the Future finalist - until I withdrew when I learned about their shenanigans.

My story "Worlds Bloom Through the Cracks" will be in this anthology! And it's a great premise for a collection.

A beloved, rather Twilight Zone-y story of mine, "Please Come Again," is available for pre-order now as part of this awesome anthology of stories that "almost didn't make it." I'm excited to read the whole book! Available from bookshop and amazon.

Coming in August! TRUNK: stories that took the long way A collection of stories that almost didn't make it.

John Gorka fan in Portland tomorrow? It's possible I'll have an extra ticket. DM me.

There's a new issue of Kaleidotrope coming in a week. But every issue is a new issue if you haven't read it yet! 😀 kaleidotrope.net/archives/

Gladiator - Philip Wylie, 4.5 stars, An interesting, intelligent book.

A 2025 Fiction Writing Wrap-Up! This year, I saw 6 of my stories published. Looking back and counting, it kind of surprised me—sometimes it felt like I hadn't done anything at all. But no! Here's proof! rajivmote.wordpress.com/2025/12/22/s...

Ascending - James Alan Gardner, 4.5 stars, I recommend it strongly.
