We just got off a shift calling KS, and I have to say KS was really interesting. The vol who had the best time is a KS native; the vol who had the worst is a sophisticated urbanite. Since this is the 1st time in about a bazillion phonebanks that we've ever called KS, I don't know what to say.

North Carolina voter: I've lived a long time. I've never experienced a situation that scares me more than what we're in right now. So it's important for everybody to get out and vote. If you love America, it's time to vote for America, not against it.

Thinking of my mother, who said one of the proudest moments of her life was standing just feet from General Eisenhower when he addressed the troops at Walter Reed (where she was stationed during WWII). She would be physically ill and distraught at the disrespect.

That buainess about God delivering himself in human form so that he could feel the actual suffering of his every creation and then using that suffering to redeem all? That lofty bit eluded these sadists in its entirety. Whatsoever they do to the least of other people, hey, they were asking for it.

Senate Democrats are going into Mississippi for the first time, with an ad buy of $1+ million set to start tomorrow, AP reports: apnews.com/article/demo... I cannot recall the last time the main Dem national groups would have gone into a MS federal race.

Outstanding. More of this, please. Elon Musk is a white nationalist troll using the billions he made off government contracts to destroy this nation. Light. Him. Up.

since California ballots are now out: prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box yes on 40, no on 41 and 42

We have canceled the pilot program. Every single person on this committee (all except me were pro AI when we started) has decided ChatGPT offers nothing of substance and now wants to set up a chatroom associated with our writing center manned by writing tutors instead

🚨 BREAKING: Elon Musk personally proposed slowing down Ukraine’s Starlink access, and Trump agreed, The Telegraph reports, citing four sources. Musk reportedly later feared backlash from European customers and publicly denied responsibility, blaming the White House instead.

The largest GOP donor is interfering in Ukraine to benefit Vladimir Putin and Russia's brutal war. Maybe Republican candidates should be asked if they support that?

NEW: Ukrainian troops were caught off guard by restrictions on Starlink satellite internet systems that disrupted frontline operations, as Kyiv received no advance warning from its partners of a Russian missile attack on its energy facilities for the second day running, Ukrainian officials tell me.

Imagine working for Starlink in TX, CA & WA, going home to your own family at night knowing the product Musk sold to Ukraine for battlefield Wifi use is now being turned off so Putin can murder children in Kyiv. There must be some kinda ‘paper trail’ in your offices. Leak it now.

No doubt this has occurred to other bystanders as well, but it would seem that a handful of billionaires dropping $150 million into a single state's election in an attempt to defeat a wealth-tax initiative just about makes the entire case for a wealth-tax initiative.

The fact that the tree is as old as the United States should not be lost on anyone. What a metaphor.

Again, you can always detect some faint embarrassment from Democrats when they talk about the ballroom, but “the president demolished a big part of the White House to build himself a palace with bribes from enemy powers” is, by an order of magnitude, the worst corruption scandal in US history

Pete is lost in terms of modern war. I use the example of this outgunned Ukrainian army officer who successfully terrorized a Russian unit for weeks because she "did the math." At the time, someone commented, "yeah, in combat, 'I did the math' beats 'I can do 100 pushups' every time."

FWIW, here's @votehub.com's odds of Dems winning various Senate seats. Yellow = "extreme long shots but plausible." Of those, MS, SD & ID have received virtually no national attention...and the latter two are running as independents, so they may prefer not to get national Dem attention anyway.

Some people get into political activism not because they want to change their material circumstances for the better, but because they enjoy righteously condemning everyone who is not as morally pure and radical as they are. You cannot work with these people because they will never be satisfied.
