How the fuck does anyone listen to this guy, hell even just do what I did and play it silently while reading the captions and looking at his manner of speaking, and think he is worth taking seriously. It's like he's internally screaming something he knows he can't say out loud.

re: omarchy trying to create parallel infra to subvert the linux community and kick trans/female/black people out i know some people think that sounds crazy but DHH literally is doing a podcast tour saying that is exactly what he's doing lol

I hardly ever post any more but I went to the One Letter App to tell DHH to go fuck himself. I never think that particularly productive use of time, but mostly because I want tech-oriented people who follow both me and him over there to realize the kind of guy he is.

look its simple: if roger rabbit is exonerated the toons gain control of the acme corporation leading to "coyote vs acme". if roger rabbit is convicted, humans retain control as seen in "looney tunes: back in action". if marvin acme is never killed then chip and dale rescue rangers (2022) happens

"What's the UK sound like?" (Slow orchestral, movie soundtrack version of Ticket to Ride) "Yeah, probably like that."

Happy ten year anniversary

Sonic 3 was pretty good, even for someone who thinks Sonic ended on the Genesis. Also finally got to try Dolby Cinema. The screen is a little better than chain specific formats like XD but at the end of the day it's for films you waited for, not films you saw because you were bored.

"omg its so funny to see these Old People looking up searches for brat because Kamala's PR team adopted some musicians thing." Honey, Kamala is almost 60.

I should also note, if you complain about any sort of account penalty or lockout on Twitter, you get five AI responses directing you to scammers who will steal your info under the guise of account recovery. Damn no wonder Captain Butthead paid a fortune for that place.

While I enjoy the work he did on TV for a lot of years, I unfollowed Adam Sessler like a week ago and I'm not surprised he disappeared melting down. He was beginning to sound like he was ready to renounce America if it brought him likes from Israeli hardliners.

As much as I'd love to contribute to hastening the death of Twitter, Bluesky is unlikely to replace it for the reasons I expected, because the "silence brand" folks are trying to scare away big business and keep it a micro version of Livejournal.

So the consequence of this is that when I want to share the post of WoW's next season, I'm sharing a Twitter link, and continuing the narrative that Twitter is the place to go for information from official sources, whether they be run by a marketing department or a government agency.

Twitter having that kind of reputation with the masses who want to be in contact with the gatekeepers of mass market pop culture is potentially disastrous for the next election and the power of any misinformation that will be boosted heavily there, but oh well.

So, the big brands re-empowering Twitter's influence. @warcraft.bsky.social was one of the few products that had a Bsky presence even when it was invite only, and they used to post everything they did on their Twitter. Then they pulled back to just memes. Now they haven't posted in a month.

Hold up, hold up. I just got a better idea: Well make stuff no one ever asked for, and use intense marketing to convince them to buy it anyway.

(repost) Pokémon “fans” mad about Palworld and trying to special summon IP attorneys to the field. True Pokemon fans who play a fan made simulator of the game’s battle systems to practice competitive team strats, and share “fakemon” of their own designs for years before Palworld.

One thing I'm surprised more people don't recognize is that one of the Beatles classics is just them doing a Weird Al Yankovic on a band that they were tired of being compared to.

That whole Acapella style backing on a rock album sounds corny, especially since a good number of the time they sound like sheep (baa baa baa, Barbara Ann). Even the damn Beatles dunked on them at the time. Back In The USSR is supposed to be California Girls from the Mirror Universe.

Props to this site's behavior to simply mute a post from someone I follow if all they're doing is QRTing someone I mute. Nothing as obnoxious as people I feel no animosity toward drawing my attention towards things that I do.

It would also be cool if artists whose work is all sexually suggestive, would still use the sexually suggestive label, as opposed to saying "just unfollow if you don't want to see." What I might consent to viewing at home is not something I want to see while scrolling in the middle of Steak n Shake.

INFLUX OF NEW PEOPLE FROM TWITTER: FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO SEE THE PORN AND FOR PEOPLE POSTING PORN, PLEASE CLICK THE SHIELD IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER NEXT TO THE "POST" BUTTON TO TAG YOUR STUFF APPROPRIATELY SO THAT PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO SEE FAT DICKS DON'T HAVE TO

This is useful. I've had Reply Anxiety because of Bluesky's decision that discussions involving only one person you follow must be relevant to your interests. Not as invasive as Twitter thinking you want to see the photos your Senator liked, but still.

Ryan Estrada@ryanestrada.com

Did you know that you can choose how many replies show up in your Bluesky feed? Without getting all up in peoples' junk? You can create a threshold of how popular a reply must be before the site treats it like a new post and shows it to you. It's true! Give it a try!

We are so fucking back. Would have been nice if these were available back around FFXIV FanFest, just saying.

At this point, Apple hardware announcements are like rodeo clowns: I can't possibly be enthusiastic, but the neck-craning trainwreck appeal is hard to look away from.
