My hosting service got an abuse report about my profile of ex-trans activist Aaron Kimberly, objecting to my coverage of Kimberly's past activity like being a Genspect advisor, "inappropriate and unwanted behaviour,” etc. So I gathered all the receipts: www.transgendermap.com/issues/topic...

I went to the Evil Dead musical last night. It was a blast. I'm of the opinion that the musical is superior to the movie its based off of. 🩸

An Ottawa driver driving in the bicycle lane. He wasn't turning right either, not that it would have made it better.

Heated Rivalry cost $3 million per episode, about $18 million in total. It was the biggest show on TV last year. This whole endeavour will cost around 3+ Heated Rivalries. But instead, Doug is cutting funding to everything else, including universities, to fund roads being torn up.

TPS is going to have one hell of a WSIAT file for respiratory issues. At least we slowed them down tonight. It ain’t over till it’s over. And it‘s never over.

I still find it wild the extent to which institutions ignore a comprehensive agenda to eradicate us simply because the perpetrators use "gender ideology" as code for "trans people".

Mel Woods@melwoods.me

Far-right provincial party One BC has proposed a "gender ideology task force," which would ban trans women from women's spaces, outlaw the teaching of "gender ideology" in schools ,and force government documents to only include sex assigned at birth (among other things!) x.com/One_BCHQ/sta...

Less surprising is the lack of imagination of these transphobes. They jump on hyper-specific niche areas of trans rep that others have pushed forth, never coming up with anything novel of their own.

I'm so excited to have these atlases in my hands. One day paper maps will go the way of the typewriter: cherished because they are tactile/legit better in some regards, but extinct in favour of "free" ad-delivering always-connected services that sell your data.

This society keeps pumping out involuntary wealth transfer schemes from poor to rich. Housing is one. Culture is another with clone farms that use AI to copy indie games and platforms like Spotify that don't pay musicians.

The only entities that can realistically put funds back in the pockets of exploited people are governments. So when governments absolve themselves of this duty, inequality increases and there's a knock-on effect that deteriorates conditions for everyone.

Chantal Hébert nailed it when she defined the Alberta sovereignty movement as not being "for" anything.

This should be getting more attention than it is. This is what AI is actually being used for: Amazon uses AI surveillance to monitor union risk in UK warehouses - tech giant collects ‘hundreds of data points’ for ‘union-busting’ AI model tinyurl.com/5dnmdhtr

It's striking how Dem leadership jump through hoops to avoid confronting the source of the manufactured panics - be it the 50% tariffs on Canada or trans people. How insulated by wealth must you be to think parroting Republicans in 2026 is the way to go.

So California Democrat @adamschiff.com came to Canada to repair the hurt, build relations and talk us into buying California wines. His first stop? Flipping pancakes with Danielle Smith in her MAGA-powered campaign to break up our country. Go back to California Adam and keep your wines.

I used to feel owned by my stuff and was a minimalist. It was a reaction to stuff being used in unhealthy ways by my parents. Now I'm a maximalist. It's still a response: to a digital economy where companies exploit their control to suck out every dollar, and to purchasing power rapidly declining.

I will say though I'm content in my maximalist era. Stuff makes my home cozy, drives comfort. And I have a rule where if I don't use it, it goes, so it never gets overwhelming either. Lots of books and movies and art and plants and coffee/kitchen stuff.

Remember that trans sex worker I found last week that was interviewed by the Telegram? I found the photos.

Here's an interesting trans history in Toronto find! A Toronto Telegram article from August 1970 with trans sex worker Lily St. Clair! Previously a female impersonator, she is described as having bottom surgery 8 months prior to the article. She performed at the Westover Hotel at 212 Dundas St E.

Spent hours in the hospital today with a friend who has decided on palliative care. Somewhere there was a transition for pals; from passing away from suicide and abrupt causes, to natural ones. And this kinda puts a lens on how finite our time is, and how important it is to appreciate the good.

Your regular reminder that my daughter Alice’s death wasn’t counted in Appleby’s report, despite her meeting all the criteria. And when I emailed the Tavistock adult GIC to inform them they could take Alice off the waitlist, because she’d died by suicide, they never replied. It’s a disgrace.

QueerAF@wearequeeraf.com

QueerAF can reveal figures that show 618 people have died while under the care of an NHS gender clinic, at least 21 by suicide. www.wearequeeraf.com/the-deadly-t...

It has often been said that the Body Politic, the Canadian gay newspaper of record for over a decade, was birthed when the leftist newspaper Guerilla censored the coverage of the We Demand protest in August 1971. It turns out, there's a bit more. Here's that story.

Notable that the joint statement, while offering rhetoric support, is completely silent on any measures to help the #ICC. Hopefully that is coming. These states are not powerless. The EU, UK and Canada all have the ability to invoke measures to block the impact of U.S. sanctions.
