Lived in three, visited four, plus a territory (I don’t count driving through New Brunswick). 8/13.

Andrew Kurjata@akurjata.ca

I wonder how many Canadians have been to more than five provinces. I’d bet it’s less than half. Fewer still if you included even one territory. It’s a fascinating thing to think about when you compare to other countries: we are hundreds — thousands! — of kilometers away from our fellow citizens

Oh no, oh no no no no. What body part is Ford gonna tell Trump to kiss this time?

Because rabbits used to be omnivores, their digestive systems aren’t really well adapted to their current grass-heavy diet. To absorb all the nutrients they need, they have two kinds of poop: the dry pellets you might see in a rabbit pen, and the soft stuff that they poop directly into their mouths.

Tell me a fun fact.

Growing up an elder millennial, the way I understood it as a kid was Ms was short for Miss and both meant unmarried, Mrs meant married, and the name was the woman’s last name. Whether she took her husband’s last name was a separate matter, but you called her by whatever last name she wanted.

It wasn’t until I was much older that I learned the history and details of Miss vs Ms vs Mrs. And I didn’t actually encounter the Mrs. Husband’s Name thing until after I got married and some old fashioned family (from her side!) sent mail to us addressed in that form. It was very weird.

We saw it with Biden, and we can see it again here, the dems aren't really interested in being trade partners with Canada any either. They mostly won't be as rude about it as Trump, but I think the idea that the tariffs end when Trump's presidency does is wishful thinking.

I am in strong agreement with the President. Congress should immediately take up and pass a federal film tax incentive to bring back these good-paying jobs that we've lost to other countries.

So anyways now that we're here, might as well look at how we got here.

The thread was going well until we hit this post and it went off the rails. No one is drinking that shit, and we all think he’s a MAGA traitor.

There's even a kind of twisted honour in committing yourself to drinking Wayne Gretzky's shitty rye in preference to delicious American bourbon, a way to affirm your love of country with each astringent, metallic swallow. 13/

“Walkable cities means you can walk home from the bar instead of driving drunk” is probably the easiest and most effective sell. Everything else is academic.

"To be honest I don't even know what urbanism means and I don't really care"

Even if you don’t go to bars to drink, you probably like the idea that the people that do go to bars aren’t driving drunk.

This is literally a full work week of homework (technically a touch more at ~42 hours). Also, many of these also require homework, so add another ~66 hours of supplemental homework to the assigned homework. Or spend that time doing literally anything else.

Bought a mini PC that was supposed to come with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB NVMe drive. It wouldn't post, so after some troubleshooting I popped it open and... it's been stripped. Guessing this unit was previously purchased, stripped, and returned. It's getting desperate out there.

A) are you expected to fully remove your pants and hang them on a hook out of frame? B) why does there appear to be two seats, and why does the top one appear too long and hinged too low to sit flat when lowered? C) you don’t ride a horse that is sitting.
