Perry Mason. When the paperback covers were more suggestive than the stories. And always damsels in distress.

Bad jokes are the best (this one's for trump) Did you hear about the guy who invented the knock-knock joke? He won the “no-bell” prize.

🧪 Once again, vaccines are amazing! I have no doubt anti-vax will end up in the dustbin of history, viewed as the modern equivalent of tobacco smoke enemas (once thought to revive drowning victims in the 1700s). Absolute lunacy in the face of actual miracles. #MedSky 🛟

Enormous news. A melanoma vaccine, one of the most deadly cancers out there. Science is good and helpful and there should be more of it. www.washingtonpost.com/health/2026/...

A poll by Nature in 2025 showed that 75% of researchers considered leaving the country due to research disruptions, funding cuts, etc. Other countries are offering our scientists opportunities to do research. If you want people stay, vote blue in November. 🧪 apnews.com/article/trum...

apnews.comMeet the researchers leaving the US because of Trump's funding cuts and politicization of scienceMany American scientists are being recruited by foreign universities holding out offers of stable funding and academic freedom.

Currently reading "Killshot" by Elmore Leonard. Usually enjoy his work but having a hard time getting into this story. It might just be me.

Being old means I am allowed to reminisce once in awhile. These books were my first real exposure to "mystery" novels.

If you think a test for dementia is an IQ test, you have dementia. If you don't realize you have been given a test for dementia because your physician suspects you have dementia, you have dementia. If you think being able to tell a giraffe from a whale makes you a genius . . . you have dementia.

Is there a possibility that the trump family is planning to flee the usa for Russia? Taking as much cash as they can. Maybe other oligarchs are in on the plot. We need to seal the borders just in case. Hate to have them escape. This is a conspiracy that I can get behind. Let's stop them now!

Sometimes, #life reminds us that even behind the heaviest clouds, the light is never truly lost. It finds its way through, illuminating what we may have forgotten 2 see. Perhaps that’s life’s greatest lesson: we don’t have to wait for the clouds 2 disappear to appreciate the light🤔 #bluesky #booksky

Massive numbers of undocumented people voting is a vicious lie. Trump is just as good as his role model Hitler at fabricating baseless propaganda excuses to justify any fascist outrage, like screwing with our votes.

You all realize that this site is an echo chamber, right? I enjoy it as much as anyone, but it is not a balanced picture of the real world. The fight to regain control of our country will not end with winning an election (if that even happens) but will be an ongoing effort well into the future.

Reading all these posts by people who are outraged and upset with the current administration and are predicting a "blue wave" next month ...... remember this old warning "don't count your chickens before they hatch" We've been fooled before

Studies show left handed people are more prone to accidents and may have higher mortality rates than right handers. Being left handed, this is disturbing. It occurs to me that my parents and the parents of every left handed person I know are right handed. What conclusion should I reach? Conspiracy
