Imagine Livia Soprano or Leland Palmer reading these headlines imo.

In an earlier era, he'd be at Claude Rains or Walter Brennan levels of *Leo pointing* actor.

Shoes matching the face is too funny.

Love these takes. There's a Marxian/socialist book-length interpretation to be written on all 3 Twin Peaks seasons.

[The bourgeoisie] has drowned the most heavenly ecstasies of religious fervour, of chivalrous enthusiasm, of philistine sentimentalism, in the icy water of egotistical calculation.

Re today's wikipedia featured article, doesn't Grace Coolidge have a bit of a 21st Century-looking ironic face?

Used to like Ed Sheeran's music in a cringe/guilty pleasure way, but NO MORE after this cowardice over Macklemore.

Ed Sheeran a bitch

Large vehicles kill, when you purchase such dangerous vehicles, you make a choice to increase your chance of killing or maiming a child 800%.

I am sympathetic to Silicon Valley guys ascribing human-level consciousness to AI because if I had to talk to people from Silicon Valley all day I’d probably have a real low bar for sentience too

What's an example of perfect casting? Mitchum as a classic film actor slotting so well into the seventies film revolution is so cool.

We’re not changing it.

“My parents died so fuck yours too,” is quite the argument against reasonable healthcare

If I have to deal with a sports metaphor that's strike one.

Tim Curry should have won an Academy Award for the scene in Clue where he re-enacts the entire film. Goodbye to him.

Dolly Parton used her gift for music to highlight the challenges of poverty, inequality, and struggle in ways that uplifted and inspired working people. “And I told 'em all the story / Momma told me while she sewed / And how my coat of many colors / Was worth more than all their clothes”

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

Natalie Harp is ten years older than Orson Welles when he made Citizen Kane

Two thumbs up!

Natalie Harp is a year older than Martin Luther King Jr. was when he gave his I Have a Dream speech. She has agency and is running the propaganda operation that serves to put people in concentration camps. She does not get a pass because she looks like a dipshit teenager.

He really looks like a No. 2 from a lost episode of The Prisoner.
