So many artists have had to go through this exact scenario, my situation isn't unique, so yea just try to show more enthusiasm towards anyone and everyone who Makes Stuff, you never know what they went through to pick up a pencil in the first place and how much compliments can encourage them

My brain getting cooked from both being told I was an ~artistic genius~ destined to be ~rich and famous and in galleries~ while simultaneously harshly criticized where I messed up or could have done better or in the case of my awful dad getting no response besides "here's art I think is better" 💀

Maybe I'm sensitive cuz my parents were hypercritical or unenthused with my art growing up unless they felt I made a Masterpiece but even then, mostly negative feedback. I'm far from the only person who's experienced that so- hype up ur friends when they make stuff. It might mean the world to them!
