The Internet Archive has a museum for the weirdest art of the early web. 🖼️ It’s called GifCities. Thousands of animated GIFs rescued from the first wave of the web. Glitter. Dancing. Cats. Strange little loops that survived. 💾 Go find your perfect retro GIF 👉 gifcities.org #ToolsYouCanUse

my twitter feed is all these people saying that AI might be conscious, but instead of making a particular case for that, they just say, well u know I mean consciousness is pretty weird. how do u know people are conscious. robots COULD be conscious, etc. And I wonder who this is persuasive for

I never watched a full Geller video essay, but I hate that he became so popular (and while there are also other reasons why); there are enough reminders for an SA survivor, in a city, in a particular time of the day, in certain objects, without having to see the assaulter’s face on the internet

The only time I called myself Dr. after the PhD (the game forces you to) (still thinking about The Message from Deep Space every day)

Medium-reflexive design 👌✅ Even the most non-handholdy puzzle games have this problem (although I think this one sentence is about Obra Dinn more than any other game)

I have separated the art from the artist and am now whipping the art to stiff peaks, after which I will gently fold it into the artist before baking at 350 til golden and puffed

What really ruins The Odyssey for me is the fact that the actual Trojan horse had windows and a little house on top of it

Finished yesterday! Incredible puzzle design, and the way the game kept broadening its scope was amazing (not just as a game, but as a first contact story that fully commits to the process of understanding the message, slowwwly building from algebra to alien ideologies)

I've already been pestering everyone I know who's into math, puzzles, or sci-fi to play this, but I'll post it here too in case it finds the right people. It's so incredibly well made and deserves more love. <3 store.steampowered.com/app/4080030/...

Holly's nail clippers got lost a while ago, and I've been getting scratches every time I pick her up, so I ordered new ones a few days ago. There was a slight disappointment when the DHL guy brought my Urkunde this morning instead of the nail clippers
