Absolutely this. Putting small wrongs right is not a bad thing, obviously. But ignoring a BIG wrong is just evil.

I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

Absolutely disgraceful. Burnham and the entire Labour government need to be removed from power immediately. I will never vote for the Labour Party ever again.

Cruel, pointless, impractical, and ultimately dangerous. The rooms in hospitals which will now be used to offload trans people are often required for clinical reasons ie to treat the immuno-compromised. This is the product of a country that has gone insane. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

This is a great idea. If you live in London, once you've swiped through a hundred or so propositions of outings, the recommendations seem to be spot on for me. Most Excellent!

A recommendation engine for the physical world would be quite nice – exhibitions, talks, etc.

Oh god yes! STFU!

People are always trying to entice introverts out of their comfort zone and "let their hair down" a little. Why doesn't anyone ever ask extroverts to calm down and shut the fuck up for a few minutes?

You know, when you find out that the art you like is made by people you've learned hold views you find wholly repugnant, I don't think you need to disavow ever having enjoyed the art. It's okay to acknowledge you liked or loved that art, but are now putting it aside. That was then, this is now.

80 year-olds with pro-Palestine signs: arrested as terrorists. Greens planning to block a road, to highlight an existential crisis: sent down for years. Masked far-right thugs blocking roads and ports, using intimidation, obstruction & threatening behaviour: no arrests. The real two-tier policing.

I write a letter every month to a stranger, telling them about my past struggles and encouraging them to know that they are not alone in theirs, and that other people care about them. Nowadays I see a lot of performative cruelty, and this is one way we can all show others that we care.

Meanwhile in the Telegraph comments: THIS IS ALL RUBBISH

This stopped me in my tracks. An independent study by @qmul.bsky.social has found that after ULEZ was introduced, children’s lungs grew faster in Central London and have now caught up with children outside of the capital. Incredible.

Most excellent.

Haven't watched yet, but as it has a new season let's bring over to Bluesky my cast list for Lord of the Rings using the cast of S1-3 of Ted Lasso. Let's start with an easy one: Aragorn. No fucking second breakfasts for any fucking hobbits or any other fucking muppets with this Aragorn.

We need to have to have a reckoning with the fact that our media class is mostly just dull as fuck driving gloves Tory 65 year olds who think behaving like an insufferable cunt is cool and funny

JK Rowling has a page up at jkrwf.org where you can ask for financial aid to fight the good fight. So I’ve asked for some money to help in the fight against her being so nasty for no reason. Please do join in, every little helps.

Read all those weird columns about people expressing opinions on other people's behaviour that's not harming them in the least (canes, headphones) and clearly I should pitch a column "the hill I will die on: leave people live their lives however is easier for them so long as they do others no harm"

We just submitted our official feedback on the EU’s proposed Passenger Package: erpu.eu/files/erpu_p... 3 key points: 1. We support the “sharing obligation”. 2. We oppose the “single platform / transaction” requirement. 3. We need clarity on how rights will be realised at the point of disruption.

Another panel done! I've coloured up to the very edge of London, as it was in 1746. This latest panel shows Mile End and Stepney Church surrounded by fields. (High-res and article in comments.)

Those who claim that banning adolescents from social media is “The answer “ don’t understand the problem. Such a ban is just the “something” they say we must do when they are wilfully refusing to look seriously at the issue.
