Cool idea! If you want a following feed that is helpfully algorithmic (and automatically shows you bangers you missed while quieting noisy posters) try the MySky "Best of Friends" feed. Fully configurable as usual! bsky.app/profile/did:...

Aaand we're back online. Thanks for bearing with us as we evolve into more reliable infrastructure. ✨

If you use this custom feed and then go into its settings (a link will be in the first post you see), you can set it to show people you're following, but hide all their politics posts. It's pretty neat. bsky.app/profile/did:...

Thanks! We've put in a lot of work under the hood to make sure the cold start experience is good. We do use your likes! You can control how much by adjusting the "engagment" slider in the ranking settings.

Mysky.social is wicked cool. Just set it up, as part of renengaging more constructively with the open social web on reentry this fall. Check it out: bsky.app/profile/mysk... Thx to @jonathanstray.com @noupside.bsky.social for showing how we might build a public sphere that belongs to all of us.

New work featured in New Public!: There is no neutral feed algorithm. Each one makes source, ranking, & content diversity choices. @jonathanstray.com & I started MySky so you can see - and change! - these settings. Check it out here on Bluesky, in "Feeds" # newpublic.substack.com/p/meet-the-a...

Social media algorithms don't allow us to understand or control what we see online and why... until now! Top scholars @jonathanstray.com and @noupside.bsky.social are sharing @mysky.social, a tool that allows users to adjust their feed’s priorities and explains why certain posts appear over others.

I’m biased but this has become my default feed now. I read almost every article it surfaces for me.
