I have only gotten around to reading In the Miso Soup, but one of the few books I had to put down for a moment and take a little walk to calm down before i could continue. An incredible talent for trapping you in nightmarish depravity.

Author Ryu Murakami, whose edgy works explored sex, violence, and youth culture, has died, his publisher said Friday. He was 74.

Started playing Ace Combat 8, and I like it whenever someone says "Usean" in the subtitles, because I can pretend they're saying "You, Sean", which is me, Seán. 🙂

My dad gets a lot of scam texts claiming to be me, so gonna communicate with him solely through dead drops, etc from now on. When he sees a single rose in the window of the local florist, he'll know, from me, there's a new episode of Slow Horses for him to watch

Been very bad at using my Criterion Channel subscription this year, but that's okay, they can have a little walkin around money

Look at all these people being made stupider by their reliance on ChatGPT, etc, while I've been out here getting stupider without the use of AI for years.

I joined a public Music League where the theme of each round was to chose a theme for a Mortal Kombat character. First round was Raiden, so I thought it'd be funny to go for Rydeen by YMO - one person not a fan, giving it minus 2 points and calling it "Uninspired". Here was his pick. C'mon man.

I know You Can See Everything hits crazy because half of my mutuals letterboxd reviews are just like "What does it mean to lie? Who are we but the sum of our actions?" like characters in a Mamoru Oshii movie

Singing "Klara and the Sun" to the tune of "Benny and the Jets" until Kazuo Ishiguro joins in or walks out of the interview.

What can you say? This was the definite winner they will never top. Also one of the best things I've seen at any PRGE #PRGE #PRGE2026

At a “cool” restaurant and there was a lull in conversation noise for exactly enough time for me to hear a middle-aged lady at the bar say what I choose to believe was “Palpatine”

Control Resonant is a game about coming out of lockdown, finding out that people had entirely forgotten how to behave considerately in public, and hitting them with a big stick.

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

Really fucking cool

I just wrote a paranormal story in the form of a fictional forum thread! A young woman discovers a video captured from inside a recurring dream. Read here: suricrasia.online/unfiction/sp...
