i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

@peggyflanagan.bsky.social is an organizer. She led the fight to increase Minnesota’s minimum wage and pass family and medical leave. So it’s no wonder her campaign has knocked on 2.2 million doors, and in her words “we’re just getting started.” Great to be on the trail with her.

I'm puzzled by Marco Rubio's role as Secretary of State. Why are Witkoff and Kushner taking the lead on major negotiations over war and peace, rather than America's chief diplomat?

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

@mcfaulmike.bsky.social and @timmiller.bsky.social rip into Marco Rubio for abandoning his support for Ukraine while the Trump administration attacks Zelensky: "They could be leaning in to try to fix it and not attacking the guy in the country that they’re supposedly trying to help."

"They might tax some of my billions or put some mild regulatory restraints on the growth of my businesses, therefore I will endorse fascism" is not savvy. It's not clever. It's not understandable or forgivable. It's shitty, just like it looks on the surface.

Ossoff: "The last time Trump lost the presidency, he tried to seize the presidency and overturn the election. That's why it's so important that we vote in unprecedented numbers. This is up to the people."

LIKE THE NEW SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK, BUT FOR GROWNUPS Billionaires bankroll politicians. Senators confirm Supreme Court justices who serve for life. Roe overturned. Voting rights weakened. Presidential power expanded. This didn’t happen by accident. Elections have consequences & we’re living with them.

Huh. Apparently Katie Miller deleted this tweet that I had the foresight to screencap. Turns out I can TOO make things go viral on Xitter, even.

Three months ago she was all team trump. After he called for the murders of American citizens on the streets of Minneapolis. Now, gas prices are a little high and she is now an “independent”

And I live in Minnesota and so far have watched two GOP Paxton ads from Texas during the Vikings game and it’s only half time. Why? It seems strange! Last week I had to watch at least two ads from Trump that apparently I had to also pay for with my taxes!

Team Talarico@teamtalaricohq.bsky.social

The Ken Paxton Corruption Hotline is now receiving thousands of voicemails. Listen to what they’re saying: “Ken Paxton is corrupt.” “I’m voting for James Talarico!” Texans are tired of corruption — and ready for something new.

Nothing to see here, just a national *news* station airing a segment where they do open anti-Muslim racism and laugh about beating the shit out of a Democratic senate candidate

I want to watch an NFL where Colin Kaepernick would have continued playing for a decade after being celebrated as a man of conviction and an NFL that never allowed the likes of Deshaun Watson to suit up again.

Here’s what these Republican ass-clowns don't want you to know: the most damaging witnesses against Trump wore RED. Republicans who backed him, worked for him, and rooted for him. Jack Smith was going to put this Trump away…with Trump’s OWN team testifying against him.

It didn’t take long for the US Catholic bishops to speak up and try to deny Joe Biden communion but somehow they have lost their voice when it comes to JD Vance and now Knowles.

gm0rk.bsky.social@gm0rk.bsky.social

I'm not sure what the scam is in pretending to be Catholic. I'm not a huge fan of the Catholic Church, but Knowles and Vance and Thiel all seem convinced there's some big payoff in claiming the label while rejecting every Catholic teaching.

I haven’t heard about the US Catholic bishops’ view of Pope Leo but I know for sure that they undermined Pope Francis.

plutarchsbloodkin9.bsky.social@plutarchsbloodkin9.bsky.social

Well the right wing Catholics in this country don't consider this particular Pope the head of the church, because he's a "lib" like his predecessor Francis.

I think the Senate Judiciary Hearing today, where they tried…in vain…to smear Jack Smith, was better than anything else that could have taken place to boost voter turnout for democracy. I think it reminded a lot of people just how much they hate these swindlers…and why.

Can’t even watch my NFL game. Vikings interrupted by an angry man who seemed like a terrorist threatening our nation’s democracy in an ad paid for by the US government and vowing vengeance against me and others who long for a better, safer and more loving nation. Hard to sleep.

Raskin made a holy shit observation on MS Now this afternoon: Since taking office, Trump has made a million dollars per hour for himself. Every hour, he has made more than twice the president’s annual salary.

Well, it’s only fair. Because I’m sure most Minnesotans are embarrassed that Michele Tafoya lives in their state

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

CNN pulled a clip of Michele Tafoya recently saying "I've never said I was embarrassed to be from Minnesota" and then displays an unearthed and deleted tweet of her saying "I am embarrassed to be from Minnesota" 🥴

“Vote for me so I can escape a state that I hate and move to DC” is an interesting political pitch.

If one of the "rewards" of affluence is that you get to opt out of the services everyone else uses -- roads & transit, aviation system, schools, healthcare, etc. -- then those services are inevitably starved of resources & decline. We have to force affluent people to be invested in them.
