Interesting how EverWind has pivoted from “we are building wind farms and a green hydrogen facility” to “we are building an energy sucking data centre for a money losing company, and maybe a wind farm somewhere down the road”.

This is the company that will supposedly be leasing the new data centre in Cape Breton, providing many of the “jobs” that were promised. I’m sure they won’t cut corners, miss lease payments, or back out of any of those non binding promises they’ve made to the province.

I've been telling everyone for years: no one shows up to municipal elections. Your city council and mayor determine way more of your day to day quality of life than federal elections but people barely talk about it. With organizing the left can takeover entire cities. We did it. So can you.

Today I wrote to Premier Tim Houston asking him to immediately convene the Legislature for an emergency sitting. This follows his decision to allow hyperscale AI data centres to be built in Nova Scotia with no regulations and no public input.

We need to keep an eye out for Houston’s favourite move: Step 1. “Huge leopards are going to eat you all.” Step 2. “I’ve listened to Nova Scotians and I’ve learned. I’ve taken your words into consideration. The leopards that eat you will be normal sized.”

The Halifax and Nova Scotia subreddits are suddenly awash with pro-data centre posts that all seem to be written by AI. I guess that’s why govt and corps are so eager to build these things. Propaganda. Swaying opinions. Manufacturing consent.

Remember Cyril Sneer? The bad guy from The Raccoons? Every episode he’d have a new scheme to get rich by tearing down the forest, poisoning the lake.

Since when does a project of this scale get underway this quickly? Why the urgency? And not just here but all over North America. Yet economists are saying the AI bubble will burst any month now. What are we missing?
