My kid's geo textbook is a direct translation of a French version and there are tons of hilarious nonwords in it, like teaching the kids what the nonword rurality means.

Sorry to everyone looking to buy tickets to Sandy and Nora Live in Hamilton ... our ticket server has been down since Friday and this is why ...

It's a good thing that the NS NDP is disciplining its caucus out of supporting riots!

Life as a dark-skinned immigrant has been an endless series of disappointments, heartbreak, and traumas. I thought I'd find decent people at university, I was wrong: they were racist, colorist, casteist and eugenicist. I thought if I re-humanized & (re)educated myself, my story would shock people.

Anti-immigrant sentiment in Alberta has hit a majority, and that province is hardly an outlier. That's what happens when we fail to blame a lack of planning and instead blame people who are just trying to find a place to live securely. My latest ... noraloreto.substack.com/p/the-invent...

It will go a long way to have a premier who is obviously not yet used to speaking with a teleprompter (actually).

“I expect the highest standard of conduct from every member of our team, and I will hold myself to it first,” says premier-designate Lorne Doerkson at first media avail since election.

It sure feels like it does. Though its weird that this article doesn't even mention chemical menopause once.

Billionaire Shopify owner Tobi Lutke posted this Toronto speed limit PSA with “Vote Brad!” implying it’s some undesirable creation of Olivia Chow’s administration. But both he and Brad had no problem with gay people when they were using us to build support? 🤔

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

I don’t give a shit who uses drugs in my neighborhood. I have a narcan kit hanging next to my door. What I do care about is who buys the real estate and just sits on it

Love to read an article on the “key issues” in my ward and have the CBC uncritically say “drug use” is one of the top issues when the ward contains the highest density of weed stores and psychedelic shops but that is absolutely not what they mean by that. GET FUCKED!!!

I responded to one of these malicious author emails by saying that I hope the person who reads my response is hit by a bus, and they sent the exact same email from the same sender two hours later.

Some well placed Road Safety Holes could highlight the dangerously inattentive driving problem

Nora Loreto@nolore.bsky.social

Driver drives into hole in cordonned-off construction zone. I have seen SO MANY PEOPLE try to drive through this area, despite many signs and barriers. When I say people in this city don't look past the hood of their own car, this is what I mean. zone911.com/accidents/ac...

We need a PSA to tell big ol’ pits to keep themselves out of cars’ way.

I especially love how cops have ruled out whether or not this act was criminal. In what world is driving this dangerously not considered criminal?

Here is an interesting back and forth from a faraway land (from me) which ignores power and rhetoric. Politicians stoke alienation for political gain because its easy to do. Widespread cultural alienation is due to Staples Theory, not Canada.

This post is unavailable.

Honestly, the fact that this entire referendum happened and I haven't heard anyone mention Innis once, is a damning statement on the intellectual underpinnings od analyzers (journalists included). There is more to all of this than asking people questions.
