I mean, this sounds pretty communisty 🤨😬

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Stephen Miller: "Children will be taught to love America. Children will be taught to be patriots. Children will be taught civic values for schools that want federal taxpayer funding ... we're gonna make sure these funds are not being used to promote communist ideology."

Neighbors to the North, please let the current situation in the US be a warning. Show our POTUS (Piece Of Tyrranical Untrustworthy Sh*t) what you think about being his 51st state

It's not hard to just...not attend. I love not attending things. Especially things I didn't want to go to in the first place.

Stop calling it deporting, so MAYBE more Americans will get it. "Deporting" is sending someone back, after due process, to the country they came from, where they arrive a free person. This is human trafficking to a foreign torture prison for the rest of their lives. GET THE LANGUAGE RIGHT.

No one should need to say this but if you're an elected official and you're too afraid to speak out against the illegal actions of the current administration then you cannot effectively represent your constituents.

Remove the Olympics & World Cup from US, it is not safe for visitors. When you travel to the US you risk arbitrary arrest and abduction, random acts of extreme firearm violence and terrorism, unknown pathogens and disease, and discrimination or xenophobic attacks.

At this point, why even bother. He isn't following the Supreme Court now. Why should we believe he cares if anything he does is legal?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

DOOCY: Deporting American citizens to Central American prisons -- is it legal? LEAVITT: Well, it's another question that the president has raised. It's a legal question that the president is looking into.

If Democratic congressional leadership don’t lead an en masse halt to all legislative business after today, I don’t know why they’re worth supporting. What moment could more demand a response of intractable and tedious opposition? Shut it all down, and refuse to budge.

Stephen Miller is a liar and a propagandist and while there is clear value in understanding what he's saying as a means of understanding what the administration is doing, not a single fact out of his mouth can be trusted.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Stephen Miller claims on Fox News that returning the Maryland father who was wrongly deported to El Salvador would constitute a "kidnapping" and "invasion of El Salvador's sovereignty." "He was not mistakenly sent to El Salvador," Miller lies. "This was the right person sent to the right place."

No! Stop this, major media! That’s _not_ what just happened! DOJ at _no_ point made _any_ commitment to “bring Garcia home,” nor did it ask for “more time” to “bring Garcia home.” It said that Garcia is in the custody of El Salvador and the court has no jurisdiction there. Get it right, dammit!

This is 100% accurate and still doesn't take into account the time investment. Canning & preserving your own food is very labor intensive and may not be accessible to people working a full-time job and caring for a family (let alone those who work more than one job or rely on a side gig for income).

Dr. Tiffany A. Flowers@drtiffanyaflowers.bsky.social

The true cost of canning supplies should be shared often. I own all my own canning supplies and this is an investment. Please be truthful with your following. Deceit and flaunting expensive solutions is not helpful for someone on public assistance, eating from food banks, and making $15 per hour.

This is the kind of BS an actual government efficiency office would shut down.

Trump is demanding his big birthday military parade and pretending its for the Army. He wanted it last time but got rejected by leaders who had spines at DOD when the price tag of $92M came in plus $21.6M for DC. Those brave souls are gone so they will meekly comply giving him his North Korea show.

Less complaining about how big rallies don't do anything, more brainstorming about how to activate their attendees to get involved with targeted campaigns, direct action, and mutual aid.

Okay, Benny. How about I take all your money to replace my retirement savings. I mean, you won't miss it. Right? Meanwhile, the current administration is destroying the economy and decimating the financial lives of millions of Americans while ALSO destroying the country. So...you know...awesome.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

The MAGA propagandists are circling the wagons. Who cares about money!

Been struggling with a deep sense of hopelessness since the election but it is being replaced by righteous fury and indignation. Depression is so powerless while anger is such an active emotion. I like it. I like the anger. I welcome it. We can make change with anger. #GoodTrouble

They obviously didn’t, the emergency declaration is nonsense and Congress should override that declaration tomorrow.

Brad Heath@bradheath.bsky.social

One thing nobody's talking about is whether Congress really gave the president the power to singlehandedly upend decades of tax and trade policy.

My God. ICE wrongfully arrested a man while his 5-year-old autistic child sat in the backseat—and shipped him off to an El Salvador prison. No due process. Now the Trump administration claims they can’t get him back. How many more? THIS NEEDS TO BE A BIGGER STORY.

The thing about watching a JD Vance speech is that everyone knows he’s a little pig man. Everyone knows he exists to squeal for Trump‘s amusement. No one respects him and he clearly doesn’t respect himself.

Believing that Tulsi Gabbard — longtime Russian asset and newly confirmed Director of National Intelligence — is acting in the interests of the United States requires an extraordinary level of self-delusion.

10 current and former Fox employees say Pete Hegseth's drinking worried them. "Two of those people said that on more than a dozen occasions ... they smelled alcohol on him before he went on air." www.nbcnews.com/politics/nat...

I'll be planting a garden this next spring, along with extras for neighbors and/or a local food pantry. If you have the means, you may want to plan on doing the same.

So Nancy Mace and GOP want to diminish trans people by enforcing an anti-trans bathroom bill. I hope the men of Congress are comfortable with the trans woman on the left coming into their bathroom. And I hope the women of Congress are super chill about the trans man on the right coming into theirs.
