I love that this might be the thing that tanks Paxton, and not the biblical divorce or letting a child rapist out early.

🚨 WOW: WSJ reports Ken Paxton partied in a luxury Dubai high-rise with 2 FUGITIVES, Anosh Ahmed and Sameer Suhail, facing fed charges over an alleged $15 MILLION hospital embezzlement scheme — alongside his gf (not his wife). Ahmed donated $190K to Paxton, including $25K AFTER his indictment.

They’re live-streaming the execution of the person they think they can get away with doing that to first. It’s a test. If they can do that, they’ll expand the margins of permission.

"The idea that the US could be an honest broker in this war is madness."

What a shock--Trump sends Witkoff and Kushner to meet first with Putin and reach an understanding, and naturally the Ukrainians have to say no. The idea that the US could be an honest broker in this war is madness. It is a stalking horse for the Russian dictator.

"He's a failed president."

Trump's approval ratings are at all-time lows. He's flailing on the economy. His "little excursion" in Iran has become a forever war. Even Republicans are beginning to revolt against him. He's not all powerful. He's a failed president.

The fact that VP JD Vance and Richard Grenell went to Romania—on behalf of the Trump Administration— to advocate for Andrew and Tristan Tate, who by all accounts, were rapists running a coercive sex ring, then permitted them to come to Florida, should be a crazy, crazy scandal.

Trump has blamed vandals, but a WaPo analysis finds that the peeling tracks closely with stages of the renovation process. The lining peeled in at least seven places along seams created when the material was applied in large rectangular sections, indicating likely problems with installation.

I will never understand why the entire Democratic Party isn't running on this. There's an abundance of evidence that for the last 50 years at least Dems are MUCH better for the economy. They need a unified message, simple and full of facts, and all of them need to repeat it over and over again.

Yes. I miss the “nuance” of “unconstitutional bigotry against an entire class of people is necessary to my kid has a better chance of getting a hockey scholarship.” Clearly, the fault is mine.

Gluesenkamp Perez: "At town halls, what I saw was the people who were the most upset had spent the last 12 years driving their girls to sports practice & they view their best shot of their student going to college as an athletic scholarship. So when we rush to moralize we miss some of the nuance."

Complete with the empty threat: "Make peace with the left, and they risk voters leaving in droves."

David Roberts@volts.wtf

It's just like MAGA, except it wants a more tolerant, egalitarian society, where everyone has healthcare and the material prerequisites of a life of dignity. I guess from the perspective of the theater critics in media, that difference is invisible.

Today we beat Stephen Miller’s lawsuit mill in court! For 3 years I’ve been a defendant in a case filed by America First Legal on behalf of Gateway Pundit & a random antivaxxer we’d never heard of until she sued us. The plaintiffs claimed we “censored” them. It was a lie. They just lost.

trump denied permits for a real America 250 celebration hosted by the Smithsonian, so he could make his crappy event all about him. We could have had a month long party with quality entertainment, but the pedophile in the WH squashed our party to amuse his own demented ego.

When you see the story about how the world now has its first trillionaire, and when you see the story about how laboratories in Congo have run out of supplies to test for Ebola, it is important to understand that in many ways these are the same story.

The world’s first trillionaire took away our Ebola response capacity, gave us screwworms, hollowed out our government so he could pay less taxes, and condemned millions of the world’s most vulnerable people to death.

Bette nails it, it's about immunity from tax audits. How much can trump steal and not be accountable.

Bette Midler@therealbettemidler.bsky.social

2/2 Trump doesn't and never did care about the $1.8 billion "fund"; it wasn't providing a financial benefit to him. The immunity is a different story. And Todd Blanche was very careful to make it clear that even if the administration abolishes the fund, the immunity deal stays. That's the real story…

"a budget that a handful of philanthropists or a single medium-sized government could fund, using technology that already exists and is already working."

Great article. Neither blind boosterism nor pooh-poohing of partial solutions. A portrait of a pragmatic effort that has evolved and improved since its first proposal. Unsurprised that it’s a Dutch guy. Pragmatism, incrementalism, and honestly listening to criticism are part of the culture.

ANY Democrat running on "To completely and utterly remove everything Trump has ever made or done, to dismantle his entire legacy, to ban his name on all public and private buildings, to persecute all his supporters. To erase his legacy" should get ALL the votes.

Foreign policy experts say that the United States is suffering a humiliating defeat in Iran. A guy who shits himself in public and thinks windmills cause cancer says the war is a glorious victory. For busy Americans, it can be hard to know who to trust.

When President Obama was running for office in 2008, his call to service inspired me to work at the VA to help veterans. I often ask Trump supporters what he’s done to inspire them to be better, and I can’t ever get an answer.

Trump has never made anyone a better person; he has only given bad people permission to show how bad they are.
