Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Let me add that it curtails the republicans' efforts to intimidate voters at the polls on election day. They do not have the resources to maintain a presence at polling places for all those early voting states.

All in all, early voting is the preferred method of voting because it helps campaigns strategize where to put their resources and it helps to build the momentum and morale needed to bring on an election too big to rig. So if you haven’t already, get out there and vote! Learn more at vote.org

Plus, when people see that everyone else has voted, they want to get in on it! FOMO is real! Not to mention, it limits the likelihood of encountering last minute trouble with mail-in ballots or overwhelmed voting centers.

To put it simply: the earlier people cast their votes, the quicker campaigns can reallocate their resources towards flipping undecided voters. This is especially important during this election where many new voters are pulling away from MAGA. GOTV efforts go way farther with undecided voters.
