If you got an email that I unsubscribed from your newsletter or project, I am sorry, but I am going nuclear on my inbox. This is probably the messiest and craziest it's ever been.

~$72B of this is equity related. $8.9B on compute and infrastructure spend. I think we’re going to see a lot of conflicting headlines from news sources and many hot takes on social media soon.

Of course, the opposite is true too. And all of us are getting used to the tools, learning how to prevent slop grenades, etc., but I’m more optimistic about the future than anytime soon far in 2026.

I’ve stewed in the “what is gonna happen” dread pot countless times this year. It simply isn’t worth doing. If you can, work on great things. It’s a golden era for it.

very excited to see this out of A\ this is our thesis at @ersc.io! But we are building a git compatibility layer: ersc.io/blog/what-co... enterprise adoption of new source control is a big ask, so making a smooth bridge from the past to the future is a big part of our offer

New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control. In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale.

CUE is just fascinating to me. I'll bet that we'll see more of it, not less. Agents or not, you don't want everything in a general purpose programming language, especially not what CUE is good at.

A goal of mine for the remainder of this year is going to be increasing quality, understanding, intention and testing for what LLMs synthesize. That sounds obvious, but it’s too easy to get addicted to speed and prototyping.

Jev shaped releases are exciting and we’re thinking internally about confidence levels, alert filtering and how we can make better software rather than more software. I’m a bit over the speed part now. I am much more interested in agents for quality from now heading into 2027.

Thank you all for coming! I hope you enjoyed it ❤️ YouTube upload soon!
