An absolutely brutal supercut for Trump. On February 1, 2023: "If I were president, I'd be able to negotiate an end to this horrible and rapidly escalating war in 24 hours" Today: "I think it's time for somebody else to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine"

Tillis is a Trump enabler who is trying to cash in on a twinge of regret without acknowledging the role he played in getting us into the terrible mess we are in. It's like an unrepentant menace to society trying to bullshit his way past the parole board.

Jen Rubin@jenrubin.bsky.social

What does Tillis truly regret? And when did he develop pang of conscience? Tillis could've demanded officials’ removal, sought to hold them in contempt or voted vs. the Iran War (before he finally broke with Trump in September). Count me as unimpressed by anbelated political deathbed confession.

This is the ’make me’ administration. It’s time for courts to wield all of the power they have, no matter what the Supreme Court does in response.

🔥Jewish Actor Mandy Patinkin (brillant in Homeland) gets really passionate about Gaza and the child killer Benjamin Netanyahu. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

When a senior member of our family started repeatedly doing embarrassing things that showed obvious signs of mental illness, we got professional treatment for him. But then, there were no cowardly Senate Majority Leaders, Speakers of the House, or toadie cabinet members in our family.

Every Republican in Congress owns what Trump has done, is doing and is going to do. The vast majority of it would not have been possible without their collective acquiescence and enabling. He’s emboldened by the fact that Congress refuses to function as a separate branch of govt.

Extraordinary, powerful and heart-wrenching. Active duty Marine Colonel Zach Schmidt, speaking in his personal capacity, about Khalil, an Afghan national whose family helped U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Khalil was deported by the U.S. on Friday to a conflict zone.

What utter bs. All this the nprm's I've seen make it frictionless to comment. Not this one. So I emailed my comment and was pretty matter of fact straight forward with my comments.

I would like a side-by-side account of the cost of: the Iran war, the reflecting pool, the ballroom, the Qatari plane, the WWE fight; DOJ settlement payoffs (like to Ashli Babbitt) and any other vanity projects I'm missing; compared with all of the "waste and fraud" supposedly saved by the DOGE cuts

The extent of Trump's destruction of Washington, D.C., is truly stunning. It's the ultimate metaphor. The algae-infested Reflecting Pool. The destroyed grass from the UFC event. The bulldozed East Wing grounds. "86 47" etched into the lawn near the Reflecting Pool. REUTERS/Aaron Schwartz

Ugh even when network TV does something good & is actually adversarial & forceful like it should be, it has to add a caveat so they don’t seem “biased” - in this case “we both acknowledged the complications” of the rain in setting up the interview. What does that fucking mean & who gives a shit?!

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

WOW - Trump crashes out & cuts his interview w/ Welker short as she presses him on his lack of evidence for claiming elections are rigged "You're either crooked or you're stupid. I've had enough. Thank you darling," he tells her" "I traveled all the way to Wisconsin for this interview," she pleads

In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a Florida home, pledging it would be his principal residence. Seven weeks later, he attested a neighboring property would also be his principal residence. In reality, he does not seem to have lived in either home. (Published Dec. 2025)

Here’s the deal for those confused: “America 250” is the bipartisan celebration committee. “Freedom 250” is a Trump organization celebrating him masquerading as a celebration of America. The concert was Freedom 250. Hence the cancellations

These are lawless violent vigilantes, not “patriots” or “martyrs.” Trump has already pardoned them. They most certainly should not now get paid from Trump’s proposed $1.7B fund.

I'm really struggling to understand how an alleged attempted assassination of Trump at a DC hotel translates into a need for a billion dollars of upgraded security at the White House.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: Gas prices are up. Inflation is up. Americans are having financial hardship. Is now the right time for Congress to be prioritizing a billion dollars for security at the WH & a ballroom Trump said would be paid for privately? MIKE JOHNSON: That's a gross misstatement of what's going on right now

For his entire life, every word out of his mouth has been a lie. And the media stopped caring a long time ago that he lies as he breathes. Hopefully one day soon the American people will say they’re tired of being lied to every single day.

The plan is to blame Biden for Trump's catastrophic fuck-up.

VARNEY: Do you have a plan to mitigate this fertilizer problem, Madame Secretary? BROOKE ROLLINS: Yes. We have been every day now for almost 50 days having daily meetings in the White House. During the Biden years... VARNEY: But what is the plan? You've had lots of meetings, but what is the plan?

Trump practically told our allies to f-off — that we didn’t need them, that the U.S. had already “won.” Now he’s begging them for help.

This is our country. Donald Trump doesn't own America. He doesn't own the White House. Everything he does relies on our money. We depend on Congress to represent our interests. They are failing us by allowing him to exploit our money for his personal interests. He & his party of sycophants must go.
