"He is not an American president but a MAGA president, someone who leads red states with magnanimity and leads blue states like the head of an occupying force." - @pbump.com

It's striking how a 15-year-old shooting close to a dozen people, 5 of them children, sparks one political candidate to say there is something wrong and the other candidate to stress how important it is that everyone and anyone can carry a gun in America. 👉 archive.today/sRldT

All other criticisms aside here, it’s insane because there’s one senate seat they can’t afford to lose the whole party is smearing 500 million people.

Miami criminal defense attorney David O. Markus discusses the way the Trump administration has chosen to indict James Comey for the third time. "No grand jury. No waiver. DOJ says the point is to toll the statute of limitations while it keeps investigating." Links to court documents are included.

"A New York federal judge ruled Monday that the Justice Department unlawfully fired former prosecutor Maurene Comey, who is the daughter of ex-FBI Director James Comey." Ms. Comey will get back pay dating to when she was fired last year and she can return to her job if she wants. womp womp

npr.orgJudge says DOJ illegally fired the daughter of former FBI director ComeyMaurene Comey served as a federal prosecutor in Manhattan for around a decade. A judicial ruling finding her dismissal unlawful adds to concerns of politically motivated firings at the DOJ.

Here's the other thing...while a bigoted governor or a racist president is just one man, every single vote for those politicians is a reflection of support for that racism or bigotry & reveals the depth of the problem that America faces today. If you reject racism, why support it with your vote?

An intrepid journalist at his next press conference...this is all it takes. Journalist: "Are you aware there was a mass shooting just blocks from your residence this weekend where there were 11 people shot, 5 of them children?" Gov. Ron DeSantis: "Yes" Journalist: "No follow up. Thank you."

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

Pretty sure María Corina Machado fails to realize that gifting her Nobel Peace Prize to Donald Trump revealed her unsuitability as a serious world leader.

I'm just apparently catching up with what has been an extremely important last three days for many Catholics in the US. Here's more reaction on the bishop's visit to the White House from the Sisters of Charity of New York.
