US Army, retired. The oath I took to this country is sacrosanct. Words can hardly express how deeply I loath Trump and his idiot MAGA zombie horde

I'm sure Jon Ossoff is excitedly waiting around for David Epstein Brooks' advice. 🙄 David Brooks can fuck right off
"Jon Ossoff, my advice to him is, if you start calling your political opponents Nazis, maybe it's time to shut up. That's just not what we do here in this country." -- David Brooks, this evening. Remember, Brooks still gets very handsomely rewarded by the fossilized media for saying shit like this
We have the right, I mean the necessity, to demand accountability from government employees. Shooting random brown people for NO DISCERNABLE REASON should be met with state/local police investigating an identified offender. None of this hiding behind a federal badge and a literal criminal's mask
Shot in the back. No criminal record.
When one man mistakes his own need for viagra for a military-wide emergency. It happens, Petey. God's will and all that
NEWS: The Pentagon has announced mandatory low-testosterone screenings for male troops 30 and older, including screening for symptoms such as “reduced libido, loss of spontaneous morning erections, erectile dysfunction,” and other symptoms.

For the life of me, I will never understand how 33% of Americans support Donald Trump no matter what he does. 33% of Americans are apparently the dumbest people on earth. I live for the day when this full third of the US population realizes they have been in a evil cult. I know, it'll never happen
President Trump's approval rating fell to the lowest level of his presidency with Americans concerned the US war with Iran will last a long time, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. Just 33% of respondents said they approved of Trump's performance reut.rs/4zs61dW
What does Cadet Bonespurs think the reason we started having Joint Military Exercises w/S Korea was? I'm sure his very good relationship with Kim Jong-un of N Korea is only enhanced by his best buddy Putin's reliance on North Korean troops in Ukraine
“Based on my very good relationship with Kim Jong Un, of N Korea, I am not happy with the fact that the United States has, long ago, agreed to participate in Joint Military Exercises with S Korea.” This man is failing to defend the United States. This man is a traitor. This man should be removed.

I believe my presence as an active-duty officer at one of these universities provided both a broadening experience for other students as well as an academic rigor lesson for me. Injecting lived experience into ivory tower arguments is as valuable as requiring the search for real data over belief.
I cannot recommend this essay highly enough. For those concerned about civil-military relations, higher education opportunities for military officers and more. Hegseth’s Intellectual Purge is an Insult to His Officer Corps www.justsecurity.org/137831/hegse...
I know he’s never had a job in the food and beverage industry, but to confuse the restaurant term for “we’re out of” with “deep six”, a mob hit, is even dumber than his usual self
COLLINS: Do you really think that Comey was threatening your life with that post? TRUMP: Well if anybody knows anything about crime, they know '86' is a mob term for 'kill 'em.' You ever see the movies?
When learning high-level negotiation strategies under the tutelage of senior officials in the DoD and State Department, nobody offered up blowing our counterparts to smithereens when we didn’t like how they were negotiating. Negotiations with North Korea would have been far more interesting!
Karoline Leavitt: "Some of the previous leaders are now no longer on planet Earth because they lied to the United States and they strung us along in negotiations, and that was unacceptable to the president, which is why many of the previous leaders were killed"

I had to shepherd several congressional delegations in Afghanistan. One dolt asked to see “Special Forces in combat.” I told the guy’s military planner that A. We don’t schedule that, and B. If he wanted to be shot at we could work it in – would he like to know in advance or should it be a surprise?
I can’t bear to watch these people but really want someone to ask Mullin, who’s never served, about all his tough guy rhetoric about the smell of combat.

“Like any common schoolyard bully, Trump is now vacillating between self-pitying and threatening to take his ball and go home.”
“Over the weekend, Donald Trump and top US officials spent much of their time begging American allies (and also Trump’s good pal Xi in China) to bail him out of the economic fiasco he created with his illegal war. The amount of begging was jarring and unbecoming, even for them.”
Perhaps bullying and deriding our NATO allies, wreaking impetuous havoc on international trade, and making frivolous decisions regarding poorly planned acts of war - his entire second term - wasn’t quite the effective strategy for enhancing international military cooperation he thought it would be
Leavitt: "Yes, the president is speaking with our allies to encourage them to do more to open the Strait of Hormuz. And our NATO allies especially need to step up. He's calling on them to do the right thing."
Infuriating! Years ago in my first assignment, I recall being shocked when the chaplain said a prayer before the battalion maintenance meeting. Before eating? Ok Before an operation? Ok Before discussing back-ordered tank treads? WTAF? THE ARMY IS NOT A RELIGIOUS FORCE, & THIS IS NOT THE CRUSADES
EXCLUSIVE: At more than 30 installations, U.S. commanders told troops the war on Iran is a Christian war. The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has been “inundated” with more than 110 complaints. One NCO said they were told the U.S. war is to bring about Armageddon and the return of Jesus…
Democratic leadership is weak. Jeffries & Schumer aren’t leaders, they’re wordsmith negotiators who care more about appearances than action. Spinelessness is where the Democrats lose people. When you need someone to fight for you, you want Maximus, not Commodus. No one cares about pretty words
There was a tweet some years back that was like "Being a Democrat is like going to a concert where the band is telling everyone to calm down the whole time" and I think about it a lot
I still cannot understand how he survived Signalgate. Unless Congress takes the step of impeaching & convicting him, I think this will just end up being a lot of sturm & drang with no consequences. Bradley seems happy enough being a war criminal - he damn well knew he was committing a crime

Who will be the intrepid WH Press Pool reporter to ask if Trump is even aware that he’s being shown videos of other countries while being told he’s seeing Portland? One would think he would want to know he’s being blatantly lied to, and making a fool out of himself by referencing those videos
Trump: "I don't know what could be worse than Portland. You don't even have stores anymore. They don't even put glass up. They put plywood on their windows."
Lord knows the people of Georgia need someone with at least the presumption of integrity to represent them. MTG has been an absolute loose cannon disaster, and Georgia is the poorer for it
If you can spare a follow please consider Retired Brigadier General @shawnforcongress.bsky.social who is running against Marjorie Taylor Greene. Every single vote he brings out is going to also help Ossoff statewide. And he is exposing the hell out of Marge. Don’t forget Lauren Boebert almost lost

Cowards from the word go. And I bet the real cops aren’t receiving any bounty money. Someone needs to demand Homeland Security show how many J6ers and other formerly designated domestic terrorists are being paid from federal funds to terrorize legally present immigrants / permanent residents.
You didn't expect ICE to actually go into gang-controlled areas, did you? Guys who are too scared to even show their faces? Nope. They'll clear the whole country of farmers, gardeners, landscapers and nannies, and call them criminals. But the REAL cops will still have to get the REAL gangsters.
