Jimmy Carter gave a collective pardon to Vietnam war draft evaders, but that was for single offense. Trump would pardon ANY federal crime committed by his lackeys. Unless stopped, presidents will be immune from Congressional oversight by simply violating any law and then issuing a pardon. Madness.
"Certainly I'd be allowed to" -- Trump leaves the door open to pardoning a wide swath of administration officials

🧵I'm going to say this carefully -my heart aches for those now mourning -every unnecessary death is a tragedy -what did you expect from ppl at the sharp end of guns & bulldozers? -in early Oct, Israeli military+settlers killed 5 Palestinians in the WBank & 57 in Gaza—why isn't that "breaking news"?
Breaking News: The Israeli military said two soldiers are dead after Palestinian gunmen opened fire in the West Bank. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened a major offensive in a neighborhood of Hebron, where he said the attackers had come from.

the political corruption and the political panic
The Executive Branch has no authority to regulate states’ election decisions as to candidate qualifications, and the choice to file a lawsuit like this just days before an election speaks volumes about the political corruption festering at the top levels of the DOJ.

These nefarious foreign crypto scams are encroaching on the kind of homegrown, American crypto scams that make this country great. As one of our country's biggest purveyors of domestic crypto scams, Trump is going to protect our nation's great scammers from foreign competition! MAGA!

This is a good thread. And/but I am not so kind as to adopt Wedgewood's "experiment" framing, even in scare quotes. This was a scam. The way they behaved during it was scammy, this press statement is scammy, their response to @gelliottmorris.com was scammy. It was a scam, they are sleazy scammers.
As one of the candidates featured in these polls - the infamous one in late June that showed me plummeting into single digits (which was at odds with our internals) - here's the impact of this "experiment"

Agreed. And by the way without taxpayer funded government contracts Elon would not just not be a trillionaire, he would be broke. We are paying for his luxury lifestyle. Literally.
When Democrats win House, they must investigate Elon Musk and bar future government contracts! Musk is using $ he makes from taxpayer funded government contracts to fund the GOP. Dems must investigate his contracts, citizenship and more! My article deanobeidallah.substack.com/p/when-democ...
