Wanna know what else is WAY more popular in Alberta than #Separatism? A national cap on #OilAndGas #Emission & you want to know why? Because a HUGE majority of Albertans are concerned about #ClimateChange & concerned about #Wildfires impacting our health. True Alberta story cape.ca/press_releas...

Medicine's management class is desperate to hide the blood on their hands. Their alliance with MAHA lets them manipulate data more directly in the US, but make no mistake, this is happening everywhere. When medical leaders downplay #longCOVID or #ME/CFS, they're showing you who they really are.

edmontonjournal.com/... Take a moment to read. The math is simple. We have double the population with less hospital beds then in the 1980s. It isn't immigrants. It's govt's ignoring our hospital and workforce planning and building. It's lack of HCWs and BEDs! 1/2

LOUDER!!! 👏 “Every dollar of public money spent to cover the unmet financial obligations of the oil and gas industry is a dollar not spent on essential public services such as education and healthcare,” Bryant wrote. #ABLeg #ABPoli #CDNPoli @cuym-alberta.bsky.social
🚨 New analysis from @theijf.org shows that Alberta taxpayers have paid $163.7 million to landowners for missed lease payments from oil and gas companies. One of these companies, Pine Cliff Energy reported paying out $29.9 million to shareholders in 2025. theijf.org/article/anal... #ABLeg #ABPoli

With the Cargill report making the rounds, it's worth remembering that infection control wasn't just incompetent in 2020 - this is that special, sustained, durable kind of incompetence that comes along with the refusal to ever admit a mistake. Let infection control screw up once, and it's forever.
Today's COVID data can't be understood without recognizing the COIs involved. The same public health leaders who let COVID loose control what data is shared now. E.g. dropping mitigations *after the Delta wave started*, without even warning the public how predictably deadly it would be.

“It should not be controversial to say: it is not okay that 3,200 children died in their schools. Without their families. It is not okay to bury children at school. Regardless off how they died.” ### orlaghokelly.substack.com/p/reclaiming...
this is what we're advertising for every time I listen to a podcast in Alberta?
NEW: ProPublica’s Jake Pearson lost $10,000 mimicking the betting patterns of a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company’s “responsible gaming” safeguards. One week in, he was invited to become a VIP — and faced little pushback as he spiraled.
We need someone in Alberta government to say this stuff... it's not raising the bar to expect data centers to not negatively impact a community. evidence is so ample, and each one that gets proposed should be adjusted based on all of the impact issues already evident - or they shouldn't be built.
Today's public health: Doing health for the many is too dang hard now! Also: We no longer promote science or accountability as a powerful few have expressed discomfort with the idea of fallibility. Not mentioned: Sorry about your preventable airborne-contracted chronic health conditions!!
This is the clearest illustration I have ever seen of the way infection control and public health refuse to act responsibly on aerosol disease transmission. Doing the right thing today would mean admitting they could have yesterday, but chose not to. Repeat, forever. #medsky #polisky #scisky

CEO pay is up 1,316% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 28%. CEOs are now paid 325 TIMES as much as the typical worker in their industry, according to @epi.org Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

Systemic racism: Woman dies because Canadian Indigenous Affairs health benefits failed its treaty obligation to fund follow-up to open heart surgery. The program is bad- often pays less than normal medical rates, puts up so many barriers to patients & professionals. www.aptnnews.ca/national-new...
much like researching female hormones by only researching men and therefore menstrual issues are non-existent, masks are designed to fit men and if they don't fit you that is certainly not the man's problem, and the research shows masks fit and no further development is needed.
Sections 2.77-2.86 of the UK COVID Inquiry's Module 3 report provide an official source documenting the inadequacy of PPE for people who are not Caucasian males. NB where a successful fit test is possible, it may still require inappropriately tight straps. covid19.public-inquiry.uk/reports/modu...
This is an important step forward. The illusion of protection from infection while masking only during AGPs and not while sharing air was vibe-based, LONG undermined by mountains of replicated studies in aerosol transmission research, think since tuberculosis.
