Seeing Meta doing fundraising for more AI and frankly how is there company able to fundraise? I feel everything Zuckerberg touches turns to dust? What was the last commercially successful thing they actually did? If you're backing AI why would you not go for any other company?

Sure someone better then me has written about this but has to be a piece in the bizarre reaction of the media to Labour chancellors. The sexism of Rachel from accounts combined with this all seems a bit deranged.

The chancellor resembles a hapless coach at a football club whose megalomaniac chairman picks the team each week. How long can this “bald fraud” prosper? bit.ly/4icXOm1 Illustration: Nate Kitch

Just so depressing for these kids- all these tech people who think they're doing a good job shepherding this stuff out to a robot. Would be better parenting to hire a nanny to at least have the human contact and understanding

cool, cool

Feel saw a similar case a while back of a Mum who had created an AI agent of her selves for her son to ask questions to. To which he then started asking how to get his mum to say yes to his requests. How you get to that point and don't stop and wonder where you've gone wrong is mad to me

I was having conversations with journalists just a few months ago about whether democracy was doomed. Look at this year: Orban defeated. Vukic defeated. Bolsonaro Jr defeated. Trump heading to likely defeat in midterms. That’s the beauty of democracy. Voters can respond. Don’t count it out yet.

If I'd loudly, and at length, bemoaned the fact that Muhammad being a popular name in Ireland was a sign of creeping Sharia law, I think it would come up. With Linehan it doesn't. Because frothing transphobia is not merely excused. It's worse. If you hate trans people enough, all else is forgiven

Feel I'm going a bit mad seeing responses and the media to the government advice to be prepared for emergencies. Surely trying to encourage resilience in the system is exactly what we want a good government to do? To act likes it's doommongering considering the world we live in is bizarre

If only he ran an AI slop YouTube channel she would have another role for him in the party.

You actually do not want your teachers, nurses, doctors, etc., to be authentic while they are in positions of responsibilty and care for other people. I have to control and hide my emotions a lot. Everyone does. It's called growing up.

Oh man real shame he never got a chance to be Healthy secretary. Could have really taken some time to improve Mental Health services in this country. (Frankly think I would be a few minutes away from shouting at Jeremy Hunt if I met him in real life-which I don't like but it's true)

Think the crazy thing for non Americans about the cheesecake factory is realizing it's actually a full blown restaurant not just a place for cheesecake. So went there with family and had a three course meal with cheesecake as a dessert. And essentially had no room for the cheesecake at the end.

Micah@rincewind.run

there is one singular fact about the cheesecake factory seared into my brain and it is that one (1) slice of their red velvet cheesecake is nearly 1600 calories by itself

Mum decided to try to be healthy (clearly having not got the assignment) so ordered the ceaser salad. Then got served an entire lettuce absolutely swimming in ceaser sauce and no small amount of chicken.

I for one can't wait for more pieces from ex Starmer officials worrying that Andy Burnham has reversed all their good work.

The announcement of a brand spanking new station in Bradford this week was delivered with excitement. But plenty were confused.Officials have danced around the elephant in the room since as well. Bradford Interchange is a dead end. @garethdennis.uk tells us a through-station isn't viable there.

theexchange.newsWill Bradford finally get a through-station or is it just an expensive refurbishment? The Government has announced a new station will be built in Bradford, but experts are sceptical

Surprised I haven't seen bluesky's favourite topic come up here. But one thing that has got miles better is British food. By which I mean the food options available in the UK itself.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Fundamentally another failed opportunity by Starmer. Could have boosted Cambridge worldwide by selling Trump on the benefits of the Addenbrookes cognitive assessment and then we could have heard Trump being proud that he could name a camel
