mars’s two little potato moons, phobos and deimos, captured together in one observation and we just launched a spacecraft to explore BOTH of them btw!!!

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT MMX??? japan is launching a spacecraft to explore the moons of mars, deploy a little rover onto phobos, AND bring samples from phobos back to earth. THIS IS SO COOL???

was checking out the post-processing effects #bevy gave out of the box in 0.19 if you use bevy_inspector_egui, be aware - it can mess with its draw pass #3d #lens

tried it btw. cool if you want to fiddle with your camera settings, but without preview you can end up with black& white grainy on a work call and surprise everyone #v4l #linux #video

oooh, I'm so excited to try it out!

I don't know about you, but the abundance of short videos with music added on top makes me yearn for the videos with just normal sounds like "here is a video of a moose enjoying swimming in the lake" with a foking orchestra in the bg gimme the water splashes, and his hard breathing instead, man!

They say the data is a new oil. We can't stop producing it and we will pay for hundred years to clean it up. From what I see - the data is a new asbestos. © Kai Lentit

ooh, I have just the setup to try it out and maybe learn more in the process! excited

having lots of personal projects in #rust means I have my 1Tb disk fluctuating between 500Gb and "You have 2Mb left on the disk" still to this day this is my record for a single cargo clean

it's so satisfying to make occasional raids on updating nvim config, i just can't help it. after this one, I have working git fugitive keymaps and clearer vim.pack setup. neat #nvim #neovim

experimented with render layers and color: 3 masks - each shows only 2 colors at a time I think it can make some interesting mechanic #rust #bevy #color

oooh, I'm so excited to try it out!

I needed this so much! 😍 📹 v4l-tui — A TUI for configuring cameras on Linux 💯 Adjust camera controls with a keyboard-friendly interface 🦀 Written in Rust & built with @ratatui.rs ⭐ GitHub: github.com/sermuns/v4l-... #rustlang #ratatui #tui #linux #camera #terminal #opensource

updated zj-hooker with minimal ui to be able to rerun on_attach\on_detach commands at any time because I was frustrating when I closed pane with plugin and it wasnt doing what its supposed to be doing #zellij #terminal #multiplexer #plugin

I don't get cachyos's success: 1. their "optimized" packages are pulling newest patches before proper testing. 2. it basically has bus factor of 1 which is a russian dev, likely extorted by fsb in the future for supply chain attack.with great surface

Even browser is just a librewolf fork that is not updated but it got so much hype people worship it. this will lead to a disaster when it will be needed by russia

Not that anyone needs yet another reason to steer clear of Microsoft, but VSCode now adds Copilot as a co-author of all your commits, regardless if you used Copilot. This was added silently as a default. This is some next level insanity.

Azure sounds like a compliance document. AWS sounds like a spellbook. GCP sounds like someone just discovered vibes. Azure: “Welcome to Azure Virtual Machine Scale Sets.” AWS: “Behold Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling.” GCP: “Hey, try Google Compute Engine Managed Instance Groups.” 1/2

Azure: “It provides orchestrated, policy-driven, horizontally scalable virtual machine infrastructure.” AWS: “It summons more instances when the load demands it.” GCP: “It’s like… a group. Of instances. They manage themselves. Kinda nice.” 2/2 #aws #azure #gcp #cloud #dev

my attempt to summarize how much you are able to do in #nomansky you can: - build bases - scalp shops - explore the galaxy(planets with flora&fauna, systems, black holes) - tame creatures, milk some of them, ride some of them(some fly), you can gather them in Pokemon like battles since recently

- fish - explore oceans - mine asteroids - fight pirates - fight misterious omnipresent robot overseer's - cleanse derelict freighters from parasite aliens and uncover the last moments of the crew - randomly encounter weird cosmic anomalies while FTL through the system

- buy/win freighter and build an indoor base and use it as a base for other ships you recruit to explore/patrol the galaxy for you and bring you stories and goods - build a Corvette of arbitrary shape - unearth ancient artifacts ...and so much more @nomansbsky.bsky.social is a treasure

There's this influential first person game from the mid-2000s that's a short but very tight experience, isn't gun focused, has unique gameplay mechanics, is all about platforming, only received one massively expanded sequel, and has an ending theme song called "Still Alive." No wait, there's two.
