1/ 📣 DigiNode Tools v26.10.01 is live! It's been a long time since the last big update, so this one is packed. It's also the first with date-based version numbers - v26.10.01 is the first release of October 2026. Here's what's new 🧵 #DigiByte #DigiNode #DGB

Almost every app being built right now uses AI to some degree, and devs would be mad not to. Funny how many dismiss other people's apps as "vibe-coded AI slop" while their own work is merely "AI-enhanced."

It’s kind of terrifying that ChatGPT are selling targeted advertising based on a user’s “memory”. It makes the kind of targeted advertising employed by Meta feel positively amateur. Just enter “tell me 10 facts about me that I probably don’t know you know that could be used to target ads” and 🤯.

One of the frustrating things about Apple Shortcuts (the automation tool) is the name. It's really hard to distinguish from other uses of the the word shortcut (keyboard shortcuts etc.) Googling stuff related to Shortcuts is complete pain. Why couldn't they just stick with the name Workflow?

So is the art of the deal to simply claim repeatedly that you are close to making a deal, and that as long as you can convince people to conveniently ignore the previous 41 times, then you will still be seen as the genius deal maker that you claim to be?

Donald Trump has publicly said at least 42 times since late March 2026 that the United States and Iran were close to reaching a deal. 42 times. He lied every time, and he continues to lie to us.

I’m amazed they’ve made a Ted Lasso Season 4, when S3 was one of the most spectacular nose dives in quality I’ve ever seen in a TV show. S1&2 were fantastic but S3 was a train wreck. Hopefully S4 is a return to the perfect 20m sitcom episodes, rather than the terrible 40m meandering dramas of S3.

With iOS Shortcuts, does anyone know if there is an Action to check if a particular App is installed, that does not rely on a third-party app? I need a built-in method so that my Shortcut doesn't simply throw an error if an Action from that App is unavailable, and can instead fail gracefully.

The Odyssey in IMAX was breathtaking - a great movie! It was also WAY TOO FUCKING LOUD. On several occasions I had to put my fingers in my ears because it actually hurt, and looking around I was not alone. Cineworld UK need to sort their sound levels - they are for sure damaging customer’s hearing.

1/ Apple Shortcuts really need to support publishing a read-only version for public use. Think the difference between a word doc and a PDF. Read-only Shortcuts could allow particular fields to be changed for customization (like PDF forms), but the main Shortcut would be uneditable.

2/ Read-only Shortcuts would be perfect for preventing less technical users from breaking things by mistake. It would make it easier to sell complex Shortcuts, and release update.

@ericmigi.com Hey Eric, I don’t have my ring yet but was poking around in the Pebble app and discovered the onboarding screen where I noticed it specifically says it is not recommended to shower with it. This is a use case I have been really interested in. Is this correct?

3/ I really hope that using it in the shower turns out to be possible, as I tend to have a lot of ideas popping into my brain in the shower and was looking forward to using the ring to capture them before my hopeless ADHD brain forgets them again!

4/ If it turns out that we constantly need to remove it to shower, do the dishes, wash hands etc. that does kind of go against the selling point of a device that is always with you, that you never need to take off, be it to charge it or to prevent it from getting wet.

2/ Checking the Index 01 specs on the website, it said specifically that showering with the ring is possible. Presumably the risk of getting soap in the mic hole is something that Pebble watches are vulnerable to as well, no? Those are okay for showering. Is the ring more vulnerable ?

Today’s Shower Thought 🚿💭: Fatal Attraction is a movie about extreme Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria… 😳 Discuss. #FilmSky #ADHD

Last PebbleOS update for Pebble 2 Duo boosted battery life by almost a week. Median battery life is now 26 days! FYI this only counts devices that are connected by Bluetooth to Pebble mobile app, and have analytics enabled. More improvements for PT2 in the works!

A "Log In with Atmosphere" button sounds simple enough, @divy.zone starts to lay out why it's a bit more complex than it may initially appear and how some emerging standards might help. We need your thoughts on how to make this happen.

i'm starting a diary on atmospheric login as a way to explore the topic in some depth. our login experience is how everyday folks will form their understanding of what the atmosphere even is—and the design space is super rich. the web may also have some tricks up its sleeve for us...

I can't believe I only just discovered LocalSend.org - think Airdrop but open-source and cross-platform. Quickly and easily send files between devices on your local network - Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android all supported. Secure transfers, works entirely offline, and very easy to use. So useful!

Now that PT2 is fully in mass production, we're working on reducing power consumption in PebbleOS. Building a bunch of fun (to me at least lol) tools to help with this! Here's some charts of where we're starting at. Asterix is the codename for P2D, Obelix = PT2.

I am finally reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and it is I kind of…. shit. I guess the LitRPG genre is just not for me having never played an RPG. I find it all just a silly and contrived, with a boring linear narrative. I’m half way through book 1. Does it get better? Should I persevere? #booksky 💙📚

Imagine if hosting providers had a simple one-click-install for a @atproto.com PDS much like you can install Wordpress with one click. Somewhere between fully hosted on your own server/VPS, and hosted with Bluesky, there needs to be a “data hosted by trusted provider on my behalf” solution.

Couple that with a built in tool that makes migrating data from one PDS to another, much like you can move your mobile number to a different mobile network. The process for migrating our data between one PDS and another needs to be standardized and made as simple as possible so that anyone can do it

Given that Donald Trump has always claimed the he was “COMPLETELY EXONERATED!!” by the Mueller investigation, you would think he would be a bit more gracious after the death of the man that supposedly exonerated him…
