it is hard to sell how effective this was. the far right here was completely lost in the past two weeks because *nothing* of their tried and true methods to dictate public opinion and the media were working. even bot farming views to pump the algo did jack shit

weaponizing SEO is also brilliant. this is something the far right simply cannot do because most of their messaging is too disconnected from reality to even have something that can be SEO farmed unless it is dumb culture war topics that will sound silly if you ask "google X"

"just ignore them" is not a crazy idea anymore. it works. it works *too* well even. and I believe there is a situation room at every social media company right now trying to address this
