I appreciate that people want a new Mass Effect, but the future where fans advocate for the work itself and not the people who make it is the one the vultures at EA want. If you'll take it however you get it, they can keep treating people who make what you love as expendable.

Big milestone game for the year almost complete, only took me 2.5 forevers and I still gotta get hit with the hook, but what a phenomenal remake. Possibly the most faithful, reverent, perfectly indulgent remake ever.

The Orminthebox "True Path" would be to play through the original versions of every Trails/Kiseki, then when you get to where the games are currently at (Kai iirc) circle back to these remakes. They are calling it "Release order" and it's always correct <- guy who did not do this

Really the only thing I could complain about is Falcoms modern 2d art is pretty bland and generic, and all of the fun new battle mechanics do serve to make the game a touch easier. And both of those can be solved with a quick portrait swap mod and playing on Hard/Nightmare

This remake really aught to be studied by anyone seeking to readapt anything, it's seriously great. I do think it is still VERY worth playing the original, as I think the smaller scale of 'the game itself' lends well to the grounding of the tale

Hard to pare it down, but I think my personality/tastes distinctly shifted in correlation with when I played all these. Either earlier on in my life, or to greater degree than other games that could go here, like Spyro, FFX, Shadowbringers, League(unfortch), Portal, Subahibi, Muv-Luv, or Earthbound
