My day has been completely derailed by a barista who happens to be the most stunning person ive ever seen. Literally stunning i could barely speak my order. Genuinely difficult to look directly at him. Dudes rock....

We have ways of "checking whether something fits" that have worked for decades -concept art, placeholders, grayboxing, etc.- and those ways employ creative people instead of burn down forests while enriching a fascist Epstein class. This is not "for the fans" and no spin will make anyone believe it.

Game Informer@gameinformer.com

We asked the Crystal Dynamics team about its use of generative AI in developing Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Here’s what Jeff Adams, experience director on the game, had to say.

Had a vivid dream that i was running a dnd game for some people ive been meaning to talk to more and try to be friends... Tempted to reach out and ask if they would be interested for real...

so unfortunately my new hyperfixation is apples, a food that i find too sweet to ever want to eat. orchard management, pests and blights, cultivars, economic activity. the whole nine yards. im thinking about apples all the time. apple fever. i love apples.

feeling extremely creatively frustrated. I want to create something beautiful and meaningful and I feel overwhelmed by the fear that i am incapable of actualizing my ambition to a fulfilling degree.

there's a theatre i want to volunteer at, but it's across town. i have crafts projects i want to continue but i don't know how, and barely have time besides. I apply to jobs and then never hear back. I want to move somewhere with more of the jobs I'm interested in but I have no way of getting there.

Imagine, with the genocides, apartheid, illegal wars, the global economy collapsing, starvation, concentration camps, wars, masked government-sent terrorists in Israel & the US - and the scariest thing you've ever seen is 5% conditional taxes on your multi-million dollars real estate hoarding.

Weirdo parasocial losers in the audience who think theyre the main character when a performer is trying to do the show that people paid to see: i hate you.

This is a post about the hecklers in the audience of the pdx dropout improv show. I wanted to hear the rest of kurt's commercial break jokes and you took that from everyone. And you make the city look bad. And you probably stink.

As calls for Donald Trump to be impeached flooded social media after his genocidal threats toward Iran on Tuesday, the Senate’s Democratic leaders put out a statement late in the day that merely condemned Trump’s comment without any vow to take action.

You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

Back in 1953, Iran was pretty much ahead of where the United States is today. Until the United States showed up for the oil, that is.

Ms. Misanthrope 🇺🇸@lilmsmisanthrope.bsky.social

In 1953 Iran had a functioning democracy. A free press. Seven political parties. Women in universities. Women granted voting rights in municipal councils in 1952. A secular prime minister named Mosaddegh who believed Iran's oil belonged to Iran. The US and Britain decided he had to go.

Has it occurred to anybody beyond leftists yet that this is flat out nazi shit, that the US & Israel are the new nazis and that’s more or less how history will record this moment? It has to have at this point right?

The President of the USA declaring that "a whole civilisation will die tonight" is not something that arrives out of a vacuum. It is precipitated by the widespread international failure to hold USA, Israel, and their allies including the UK, accountable for their actions for many decades

Ali Ghamsari is a celebrated composer and master of the tar. He did a video series traveling around historic sites in Iran, playing classical Iranian music, often with nods to Iran’s diverse population. His love of country was palpable long before this major act of protest.

Al Jazeera English@aljazeera.com

Iranian musician Ali Ghamsari has staged a sit-in outside the Damavand power plant in protest against US and Israeli threats to target vital infrastructure. Ghamsari said he would remain at the site and play music there in the hope of helping prevent attacks on Iran’s energy facilities.

Called my rep and said "I am concerned about the President's posts about committing genocide and would like my reps to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office" and the guy was like "okay I'll pass that along, is there anything else" and I was like no that's pretty much it

Can't tell you how many members of Congress who *at best* had nothing to say when I asked about the Minab girls school attack. There is a profanely cold detachment inside Capitol Hill, a mode completely unrecognizable to common human decency I wish I could properly convey to you.

The world not screeching to a halt when the US killed more than 100 little school girls on the very first day of this "liberating war" led us exactly to this moment

I’m not arguing with no account defending AI. My grandmother lives in an area being environmentally compromised currently by an ai data center. I remember the color of the lake before they built it and the sludge I see in it when I go to see her. Shut the fuck up about “the benefits of AI” forever.
