If this were an immigrant or Muslim it would make national headlines. Because it's a Nazi you're probably just now hearing about it.

It doesn't seem to occur to the Daily Mail that quite a few immigrants from that generation also fought in the Second World War

Prejudices so suppressed they can only be ‘whispered’ in a national newspaper.

The first subpoena from the new Democratic Congress should be to Mark Zuckerberg, for taking down the No Kings Instagram account in the middle of one of the largest days of civic activism in American history. No Kings. No Courtiers.

I will never get over that an American president is screwing a democracy that was attacked by Russia and is bowing down to Putin. And I will never get over the fact that congressional Republican cowards are letting him do it.

I doubt that the small amount of oil Putin will spare will affect the markets or the price of fuel in the US much at all. That will require either regime change in Iran or Trump to back down and offer concessions to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and tell their Houthi proxies to stand down.

This is how you write a headline.

Apologies Ukraine, apologies NATO, apologies free world. As an American, I once again apologize that we put a cruel, sociopathic madman in the White House who also happens to be a Russian asset. So he’s on Putin’s side. America apologizes. Most of America opposes him.

This is completely outrageous and disgusting. This must immediately be blocked by Congress and Trump should be impeached for this. The US is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians including children. We are lost as a country.

My oldest daughter, who is also an attorney, has said these things to me as well. When your life is built around the law, all of these blatant criminal acts must be even more frustrating.

Too many people in the media give Trump props for "transparency" because he talks to reporters frequently. But he lies most of the time and often ignores questions. A day after he talked about letting Iran destroy Los Angeles and San Diego, he won't even explain what he meant.

Trump ignores a question about "what did mean when you said 'let them take out Los Angeles and San Diego?'"

Pathological liars just can’t stop lying. Trump: “I’m the only president that donated his salary. They pay me $550,000 a year.” The presidential salary is $400,000. JFK and Hoover donated their salaries and didn’t rob the country blind.

Do we seriously have to do Maoist newspeak every single time an 80 year old posts his idiotic ideas on the internet. It has been AI since before I was even born. Can literally anyone have a shred of dignity.

DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

Over and over again we see this. There is no reciprocity. Zero. if you offer Trump bribes he'll take them. But he doesn't feel as if he owes you anything in return. Just like he sneers at his MAGA followers; he thinks you're weak and a fool for believing his lies and deserve to be bled dry.

Saudi Arabia is in big trouble, with their oil industry under attack from multiple directions. The Saudis spent years bribing Trump and Kushner. At first, it seemed like a good investment. But the Iran war screwed them, now they really need help, and the US can't/won't. Me, in @foreignpolicy.com:
