While I have had many excellent pitches I am severely lacking in pitches from non-white people and I am very aware of that. I really really really want to elevate some non-white voices with this so I urge you to apply. Please please please.

Currently, Hasbro’s guidelines keep us from having total ownership over the work we make in our free time. Our union aims to change that and ensure we own what we make in our free time. actionnetwork.org/forms/uwotcp...

D&D and Studio X will be holding our election on November 10th! Our workers will vote on whether to form our unions and put more power in the hands of our workers.

Saw Wildwood last night and cannot recommend it highly enough. Stunningly gorgeous stop motion masterpiece, made by absolutely mad meticulous human labor. Go support human art! (Also it's truly the Most Portland Movie Ever Made, which is just fun. And we love a "kids movie" with a high body count!!)

Former BioWare Senior Writers Mary Kirby (Varric, Vivienne, Lucanis) and Sylvia Feketekuty (Liara, Josephine, Emmrich) and Sarah Hayward (Former BioWare Cinematic Director) have found a home at North Mist with many others in our network.

Part of my literal job is to fly out to physical game studios to rescue and recover historical materials that might be endangered and put them in a permanent archive. @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social is a 501(c)3 publicly funded to do that, my DMs are open, and I'm free for the next couple weeks...

Your goal in life from here on out is simple: be the person Varric Tethras and Mordin Solus would be proud to know

what exactly DOES happen to materials from a major studio that’s closed? where do physical hard drives, documents, etc go? who maintains all this pointless secrecy? if you know or have stories, get in touch: nathan@aftermath.site, nathangrayson.666 (signal), aftermathdotsite@proton.me (proton mail)

Casting a net of questionable size here, if you’re an ex-BioWare dev (or know of one who may not see this) working on something cool you’d like featured in a roundup at Kotaku, drop it below. Store page links helpful, and let me know what your role was at BW. Projects big and small welcome! RTs plz!

it cannot actually be ignored or danced around that the closure of BioWare came so soon after the Saudi and Jared Kushner acquisition of EA. they absolutely did take the studio making EA’s broadly queerest games out back and shoot it old yeller style. do not let yourself or colleagues ignore that

It's a strange sort of grief when something that made up almost twenty years of my life suddenly ceases to exist. Like a broken bone aching when the weather changes. Sending love to all my old colleagues and all the fans today.

I should go. www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-cG...

EA's closure of BioWare is transparently a vile move to shutter the studio that made by far their queerest titles. In the wake of this, I implore you: MAKE MORE QUEER ART. Make it trans. Make it horny. Make it scary. Make it loving. Make it with every inch of yourself. Flood the world with it!

Dragon Age saved me and put me on my path, i owe everything to bioware for building the creative foundations I take with me every direction of my life I held out so much hope that they could be saved somehow, now we (fans) grieve in a cleaner but pronounced way To the devs, i can't even imagine

#BioWare's games made me want to join the industry -- their worlds, characters, stories, and wonders. When I worked there, I met people of extraordinary talent, vision, and humour who taught me so much about writing and game storytelling. I will always be proud to have been part of that studio.

it is on *sight* for anyone who goes, "why don't they start their own studio?" i'm literally pitching and i can't stress just how in shambles the indie funding landscape is right now.

Guess who'll be there this night 👀

Tonight’s the night! #vtm #ttrpg #rpg

Square Enix posts a short behind-the-scenes look at the voice recording sessions with the English voice cast Final Fantasy VII Revelation:

Desperately need everyone who eats in restaurants to know: -Your server also wants you to get your food -Your server is not actively obstructing you from getting your food -Your server is paid hourly and would get nothing from trying to rip you off -You and your server are on the same team!

This morning, the D&D team and Magic's Studio X informed our leadership of our intent to unionize. We love the games we make and the work we do, and unionizing is how we protect that work. unitedwizardsofthecoast.com/news/dnd-stu...

Just a reminder that these Haitian immigrants in Springfield -- who came here legally, did everything they were asked to do and more -- became a target of federal crackdowns because the white nationalist vice president shamelessly spread racist lies about them.

This is something wonderful that @papiwolves.bsky.social has been cooking well before i was his comic artist! Show your love if youre interested in the story!
