As a reminder this whole series is available in a beautiful Blu Ray set for very little money and you can play it forever

Huh. "Police Squad!" is coming to Netflix on November 1. That's another of those shows that has either never or almost never been streaming anywhere.

Jared Kushner is my least favorite grift vector on the Citadel (planet earth) Actually there are probably lower on the list but his sucks to bland ratio is worse

As much as it's not really a surprise, especially given the industry right now coupled with the Saudi sale, the news today still made me sad. BioWare joins other great studios of the past, with a legacy that will not soon be forgotten. 😔 www.forbes.com/sites/paulta...

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

NEW: Epic Games has delayed its upcoming (not yet announced) Star Wars + Marvel shooter as it pivots to complete AI game development. "No more hand-written code," a director told staff. All art "generated with full AI workflows." Full scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Dennis Hastert was a predator who used his positions of power to not only cultivate targets to abuse, but then to bury those allegations via his TAXPAYER FUNDED POSITION; and he admitted his guilt only long after the statute of limitations had expired. And now he's dead.

I adored this show. Sneakers as a tv show that’s very nerd culture forward, but not in a laughing at us way like Big Bang? Hell yes

Christian Slater played the leader of a crew of ex-thieves who now break into places for a living to test their security. It only had one season, but every episode was a great mix of comedy and heist story. Very cool. 😎

I still have this sneaking suspicion that this fuck-up was the part of the Ocean’s 11 October Surprise where the plan malfunctions on purpose to throw the mark off guard But that seems so unlikely and is probably just competen past ratfuckery rustling my jimmies

David, if I may, how bout Bland Monopoly Studios It’s great because you can refer to anything you shit out as BMS

I know Variety/Hollywood Reporter/Indiewire/Deadline (and The Golden Globes/GoldDerby) are all owned by the same company, and they basically live off of "For Your Consideration" ads bought by studios, but sometimes some good writing+reporting comes out of those outlets. But not today.

This movie ends up being much more about a renegade HAL9000-esque security system, an old guy who's whining about not being in charge anymore, and a painfully awkward love triangle than it is about the hurricane or the nuclear facility. I think this may be for the better?

I cannot overstate how unsettling the stutter edited robot saying “Robots never lie” is, and yet still how this movie is so much less than the sum of its parts

I'm a veteran 2D artist and art director for games with 20 years of experience. Worked at Mojang. I know games inside and out, and I need studio work. I'm a hard worker and right now I can barely pay rent *and* am going out of my mind with boredom and the waiting. Thank you
