This kit is sadly showing its age. A bit of cleaning up seam lines and added bodywork needed sprue goo and a fair bit of sanding. The wing mirrors provided are ugly lumps of plastic so won't be used. They took away from the curves too much too. #histscalemodels

Today in 1942 the third battle of El Alamein began. Montgomery had the stubbornness to push back against Churchills incessant pressure and only struck the Axis forces when he was ready. When he did he showed that the Allies were every bit as technically capable in battle as their adversaries.

Cracking little book. Full of gentle humour but also salient points about life & how it isn’t always easy. Written by a football (soccer) obsessed US ‘blue collar’ worker who relates well to UK football fans. There are some factual errors but who cares…I found it endearing & uplifting…9/10 #booksky

Look at the size of that gun! I've finished adding details to the Meng AUF1 turret for now. The rear doors, hatches and the tracks will come next in between primer/masking, tidying, etc. The turret was a bit of a sod, but patience won the day. #histscalemodels
