"amplify your people" is 100% the best strategy

Rafa Sales Ross@rafiews.com

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

If you have to quote tweet a guy from twitter because they didn’t post it here it’s because it’s rage bait.

Hey guys, dumb people think it’s elitist to make a living off your smarts.

Workplace automation, in a nutshell

I could spend the rest of my life analysing this feedback sign in the local Home Bargains. Did 'not happy' break from overuse? Was it taped over to ensure 100% positive feedback? Is the green 'b' in 'feedback' some kind of subliminal nudge? Is the duck tape indent because people still keep pressing?

Salahuddin (House Pos. 1): B - Pros: He's young and Democratic-endorsed, and he's facing a Republican. :¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Forsythe (House Pos. 2): C - Pros: She has labor and Working Families Party backing. - Cons: She called the millionaires tax a non-issue for the district, and I couldn't find a stated position from her on ICE or trans rights.

Federal DelBene (CD1): D+ - Pros: She reliably votes against Trump. She co-sponsored the American High-Speed Rail Act, which would fund $41 billion for passenger rail. - Cons: She's a former chair of the New Democrat Coalition, which has pushed the party to the right.

Ballot measures No on I-645, IL26-001, and IL26-638: Voting no keeps the state's first real tax on the rich, worth over $3 billion a year. It also blocks a measure that could out LGBTQ kids through school counseling records, and a sports ban built on sex verification exams for girls.

Last night the unoccupied inventory of Airbnb would’ve consumed the entire unhoused population with about 100k beds left over.

My current I guess coldest AI take is that LLMs, agents, etc biggest trick is persuading people that it does something they couldn't do themselves while in practical terms being limited to being precisely as reliable as they are competent to assess and ensure.

AI can generate ads and emails. But running an entire marketing operation is a different challenge. Different Co-Founder and CEO Ajeet Singh explains why the next step for AI marketing is automating the entire workflow, from content creation to campaign optimization.

Look, keep in mind that I am a person who derives most of their income from creative work through the internet, I think content monetization on social media platforms has been one of the most destructive forces of the last few decades.

That’s specious reasoning.
