This is a great episode from @janfran.bsky.social , pulling apart the PM’s “turning the temperature down” bullshit while we are gaslit about who is actually turning the temperature up. Including himself, grinning in selfies with the world’s inflamer-in-chief.

The Govt enters into $100B worth of contracts each year, all with confidentiality terms that prevent citizens from knowing if the contractor is performing well. If I win in the Full Federal Court next week, that’ll all change. #transparency #Snowy #auspol

This is fantastic. If @australianlabor.bsky.social decided to address the significant percentage of the population they’ve intentionally left mired in poverty, Isabella Weber has the recipe. It’s straightforward, logical and possible. #auspol

Is Chris writing about the extraordinary and increasing amount of support Australian taxpayers are giving to foreign owned fossil fuel companies? No. Never listen to what @australianlabor.bsky.social say. You need to look at the horrors they commit against us and the land to see them as they are.

While Australia and the world have made big progress over the last twenty years, the Liberal Party has gone backwards. John Howard had better climate policies than Angus Taylor. To read more head to my Substack:

Poor mental health is linked to poverty, inequality, lack of safe housing and adequate food. Inadequate Centrelink payments are your governments policy. Your concern is patronising and cynical. As leader, you are directly to blame Anthony Albanese. #auspol

@amyremeikis.bsky.social is right about the PM's speech yesterday: "Australia has a history of letting industry agree to policy before moving forward with implementing anything. Albanese’s speech on Wednesday shows no signs of this being any different."

You know… if you’re selling your house and prices have dropped 5%, you can buy another one for 5% less. It’s only affecting people who use housing as an investment, not as a personal home. That’s. The fuck. King point. #insiders #auspol

The Federal gov is interfering with the ABS. it's illegal, but we know they get to ignore the law. They did it for the Roman Catholic Bishops, who lobbied the gov to stop a no religion question on the census. Cool and normal. #Auspol www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/religio...
